"Neighbouring properties made us very nervous to start with. No issues though and enjoyed our stay. Made the booking through a different website. Charged us for an extra night. Tried to communicate prior to check in. No luck and no reply. Overall experience very disappointing. Scared to use Bookabach or Bachcare again."

"Stunning views from a rustic traditional kiwi bach! Quiet and private with good outdoor area for backyard games! Great setting right across from the water. Well set up for self catering. Loved the loft sleeping area. So neat that our doggo could join us on holiday. This was our second stay and will be back again! Thank you!"

"We enjoyed our stay in this property once the check in issues were sorted out. Book-a-bach dropped the ball with check-in which took over 2hrs and was not complete until the next morning. Having said that, all the issues we encountered were not the fault of the house, so as long as Book-a-Bach sorts these, then I would highly recommend this home. It is a good size, even with just 2 bedrooms, we had 4 adults and 4 kids (sleeping in the lounge on the couches) and it didn't feel too small, AMAZING...

"The house was exactly as described, but “some road noise” was not very accurate. We left a day early as we basically got no sleep in the studio - not because of the noise (but it was constant - we live quite close to a reasonably busy road ourselves) but it was the shaking every time a truck went past and that was very very regularly . It was fine during the day, as there was other noise about and we didn’t spend any time in the house, but when quiet at night it was quite an experience!"

"Lovely, cosy bach. Well equipped kitchen. The separate outside bedrooms gave every one space and privacy. The lake was beautiful to look at and swim in. A really peaceful retreat."

"What a cute, remote, little place this is! All you hear are the rumble of the waves and look out on the vista of the Bay of Plenty and Whakari/White Island. Highly recommend. If you're in need of supplies, Opotiki is a 10 minute drive away otherwise, enjoy the wilderness. Fully equipped unit to spend time away from it all. "

"We had a lovely and peacefull stay with the most beautiful ocean view. You are right on the beach. We swam and had walks on the beach everyday. Our hosts were very friendly and accomodating. I would definitely recommend this bach to anybody who love the peace and quite of nature."
