"The property was clean and the kitchen was well equipped. There was no staff for check-in apparently due to a NZ wide staff shortage. A written note was left for me about changing the method of payment but no one responded via the Expedia messaging app. A staff member did show up in the evening eventually just to process the payment. "

"We enjoyed this property for its view of the lake, proximity to restaurants and Doubtful Sound tour operators as well as the size of our room. Our room was a two room suite with balconies facing the lake. The buffet breakfast was wonderful. The hotel is large, somewhat dated but well maintained. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The RealNZ office, our Doubtful Sound tour operator, was only one block away."

"We got a small room with somewhat uncomfortable mattresses. Access to the shared bathroom required us to go outside at night. The shared kitchen was large and well equipped, but it needed a deep clean, and there was no hot water to wash the shared dishes. We were satisfied with our stay, but we expected more for the price we had paid."
