My grandchildren and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. If my grandchildren could they would have lived in the pool. The owners were extremely helpful and very friendly which enhanced our stay! Lovely comfortable stay at The Stone Store Lodge. Beautiful, peaceful setting amongst the trees. Loved the kitchen and lounge areas and being able to have breakfast there. Particularly enjoyed the granola!

Location is great, it was a spacious clean room with a very comfortable king bed. The air conditioning was fabulous as it was 31 degrees outside. The pool was lovely also with a lovely outlook.

Very rural and a sense of freedom

A perfect start to our NZ experience. Despite a delay in our flight getting us to our destination late, the motel staff were so understanding and confirmed they would be waiting for us. On arrival, we were greeted in the most friendly and welcoming manner, and given directions to our room. The next morning, staff were only to happy to direct us to the local attractions and way to maximize our day. Stunning view over bay of islands. Very considerate hosts. Peaceful retreat. Thoroughly recommend. Stairs a bit of a concern with luggage.

Great spot, great host that second visit there has always been delightful to stay at so happy to make this a permanent spot for when I need to travel north and spend the night. Neighbouring restaurant was a bit of a let down sadly.

Loved the Motel and our room. The incredible panoramic view from both rooms was wonderful. Great little self contained kitchenette which we loved. Sky Satelite TV a big bonus. Easy & safe car parking. Across the road from the Ferry wharfs and main shops area very close.

The apartment was very clean, and had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable. The kids enjoyed the pool table. Location was great, and the space was perfect. The kitchen was great too.
