"Kaiseki dinner food was terrible. The meat was so tough and didn’t have any flavor. All four of us commented during dinner that the food was not good."
"Stayed as family of 9 on fireworks night.
It was a little too far that we had to drive to the spot to park and walk to the beach to see the fireworks.
Local supermarket is in 1 min drive. Extra parkings right next to the property.
We had a great time. "
"I really enjoyed my stay here. Although i did not pay for a sea view the view was decent, the bed big with multiple pillows, staff was good, and the buffet breakfast is excellent. I already booked a return visit later this year!"
"Great seaside resort. Spacious room, good view of the ocean. The private baths were simply divine, perfect way to relax and unwind. Complimentary beer/water/snacks in the room, ice cream after your private bath. The staff were great even with the language barrier they made sure you understood where your room was and where things are on a map. There is parking in front of the hotel but we arrived via taxi, approximately a 5000 yen fare from the Coaska Bayside Stores depending on time of day."

"Beautiful full ocean views in a small, very well kept traditional Japanese-style hotel. Very clean and nicely furnished. Wonderful kaiseki meals with fresh
local fish and unique dishes. Quiet, isolated beachfront property with a small, plain beach area and concrete sea wall for fishing. Peaceful and tranquil weekend in quiet Tateyama.
"
"The staff had zero inviting mode. No smile, no sign of happiness. The whole place felt like a routine operation, didn't feel any warmth.
Pool was not usable. No other places nearby, so you are bound to have their pricey meal option. And that too, needs to be reserved and time bound.
At night the whole place lit up with many LEDs though, kids of other guests ran around.
Amenities were just OK. The rooms were clean, but many things are old and worn out in the room.
Honestly, it felt like staying in a business hotel in city, not a relaxing resort type."

"The room I received was one of the largest hotel rooms I have ever stayed in. It was a standard room. I realize it was November, the off season, but the rate was very reasonable as well.
The view was amazing night and day. The location of my room allowed me to leave the curtains open 24/7.
To wake up to that view was amazing and the lights at night were equally relaxing.
The room was clean and I wasn't afraid to sit on the furniture. The shower/jacuzzi room was recently renovated and like new.
There were two things I would make mention of.
First, although the room was magnificently large and spacious and very clean throughout, it was showing a lot of wear and tear. Carpet was in need of replacing and a few wall paper seams were peeling, But even though the carpet was worn I could tell it was clean.
Second, I realize I'm the foreigner and I take full responsibility for being illiterate and unable to understand Nihongo. The second morning of my stay there were alarms and bells going off. I was afraid to use the elevator and walked down the eight flights of stairs, after checking first for smoke. Unfortunately no one at the front desk could tell me what was happening.
Yes I would stay again, in fact my wife and I are looking into it."
"According to the neighbor and the staffs, they opened April 2024 from previous old hotel with minor renovation. Very beautiful location and spacious property, but unfortunately the place needs improvement. 1 The carpet, specially, spa area smells as fungus. 2 So many steps are very dangerous for all people. For example, inside room bath have to step up around 10 inches, and public spa entrance also has big step when we enter. If the hotel in US, it will be not pass safety reason and ADA. No dining option besides around 9,000JPA buffet at night. The buffet was superb, including alcohol and fine deserts, but I don’t drink so the price is unreasonable for me and vegetarian. You need rent a car, other wise you can not go out from the area. A shuttle bus to go to the high way bus station is available. A souvenir shop available, but it is not convenient store, so if you need snacks and other things, highly recommend to get in town before go to the hotel. Good luck! "
