"It was unfortunate that we had heavy rain and the roof leaked. The whole place was damp and the carpet spelt of wet dog. We arrived to a mouse in the kitchen, and the ants moved in overnight. The managers were thoughtful and responsive, however, the place was really not fit for living. Sorry, wasn’t cheap either. All very disappointing."

"Good for a large group, maybe two families although need to watch small children as areas of the garden might be quite dangerous. We booked just for two of us because it was a late booking and there was little available. Having paid the full price was a bit surprised to find only two towels in a house for 9 people. On asking for a spare towel was told ‘really short of linen especially towels’. Mostly clean but some issues. Generally house seems uncared for and but if you want ‘big’ it is OK"

"We are happy to give this home a 4 star. If we were visiting during the NZ summer it would be a 5 star. The home is lovely, clean and very comfortable. When we entered the home on a very cold night at the beginning of winter, we felt we were entering a cold ice cave. The property managers had a portable heater going in the master bedroom but the home was frigid. We could not take off our many layers of jackets. There is a permanently open window in the downstairs bathrrom. The home is not very...

"We live locally and were searching for a quiet getaway that was both kid-friendly and dog-friendly—this cottage was exactly what we needed! The peaceful setting was perfect for our family, and our dogs loved exploring the grounds. The pond was definitely the highlight of our stay—our kids couldn't get enough of it and spent hours playing there. We'll definitely be back!"

"We enjoyed hiking down the trail to Kaiteriteri each day, taking in the gorgeous views and bird calls. If it’s really hot, know that there is not AC and the windows don’t have screens on them to keep bugs out at dusk. At other times of day, we were able to open the windows and let cool air in. We enjoyed the kitchen that enabled us to cook some of our own food."
