"I loved having a room with an outdoor space, and it's wonderful that this hotel is completely pet-friendly. When my dog was afraid to go on the elevator, Adam at the front desk helpfully moved me to a first-floor room. The hotel has its own private beach access, and the pool area is very nice, with plenty of options for kids and adults. I forgot my beach chair, but they work with a vendor that provides beach chairs and umbrellas and lets you charge them to your room, so you don't have to carry cash or your wallet to the beach. My one minor complaint is that the ceiling fans need to be cleaned regularly. In both rooms I stayed in, they were caked in dust, but it was nice to have a ceiling fan to keep the air moving."

"The staff were friendly, efficient and responded quickly to any issues. The pool was amazing, very clean as was the hot tub. My complaint is with the entry/exit doors on the North building. Between the wind and occupants not closing the doors gently, all you heard up until midnight was the slamming of those doors. It was very loud and kept us up most of the night. We reserved 2 rooms for our party of 4, thinking they would be next to each other but that was not the case. One room only had 1 chair with a small table. The other room had 2. A stairway down to the beach would definitely better serve the elderly and out of shape guests. That hill was a hard climb. We had a good time despite a few hiccups but I think we will rent a house next visit."

"Great pet and big kid friendly house on a quiet neighborhood street. We appreciated the primary bedroom king bed being very soft and comfy (we feel like rentals often have hard beds). The home was overall clean on arrival. The kitchen had adequate supplies for cooking. There were plenty of games and puzzles for rainy afternoons. The pool space was great and felt private. Easy walking distance to the south community pool/ tennis/pickle courts as well as a beach store, candy store, coffee shop, and couple of restaurants. Love the beach shuttle that can pick you up close by and drop you off right back at the house! The hosts were very responsive and took care of a couple of minor things within a reasonable amount of time. Note: There was an additional 125 pet fee not listed when we booked."

"Our families had an absolutely incredible stay at this beautiful Corolla beach house over Memorial Day weekend! Even though our trip was far too short, the home exceeded every expectation and quickly became one of our favorite vacation rentals ever.The house was spotless, spacious, and perfectly designed for large groups like ours. With four families staying together, we had plenty of room to spread out while still enjoying quality time together. The layout was ideal, the bedrooms were comfortable, and the common areas made it easy for everyone to relax, cook, play games, and make unforgettable memories.The location truly could not have been better — just a short walk to the beach and easy access for both kids and adults. The pool, hot tub, volleyball court, mini golf and outdoor spaces were huge hits with everyone, especially after long beach days. Every detail of the home felt thoughtfully prepared to make guests feel welcome and comfortable.What stood out most was how effortlessly the property brought everyone together. Morning coffee on the deck, evenings by the pool, family dinners, and laughter throughout the house made this trip incredibly special for all of us.We genuinely wished we had booked a longer stay and are already talking about coming back again in the future — next time for much longer! Highly recommend this property for large families or groups looking for a relaxing, fun and memorable OBX getaway."

New Listing! Oceanfront, Hot Tub, Amazing Views

"Host was a good communicator but he down played my “ direct access “ -as shown in the listing. One of the reasons I booked this particular house was for the oceanfront AND direct beach access. There is a wooden walkway and steps leading to the beach. It appears to us as though the winter winds covered half the steps and caused a 5-6 foot dune at the top of the steps making it impossible to climb over carrying beach chairs or an umbrella or a cooler. On the beach side -again-the top of the stairs were covered in sand and the dune at the top of the stairs was impassable by foot unless you are very athletic All of the other houses had cleared their steps or were in the process of clearing them. When I pointed this out to the host he said he would change the listing and we could walk down to access the beach by the public access walkway. Indeed he did change the listing to if you have “ mobility issues “ you may not be able to use the walkway. I have two photos showing the steps. One -house to the beach clearly showing the sand and the dune -one from the top of the dune -after my husband climbed it-looking down to beach -showing how much sand is covering the steps.Also the dryer works but has no handle on the door so once you close it you must find an alternate way to pry open the door. We did find the house clean and neat. The appliances and bathrooms were older but useable. The furniture is new and the flooring appears new also. The location on the beach was beautiful."

"⸻DO NOT STAY HERE!!We want to share some concerns about our stay, as the condition of the property did not meet expectations.Upon arrival, the icemaker was not working—we had no ice when we arrived, and it has not produced any during our stay. The pool was also very dirty and had glow sticks left in it, which was disappointing. Additionally, there was visible trash around the property, and overall the home did not appear clean or well maintained.We were also surprised that only one towel per person was provided for the entire stay, which is not adequate. The beds were uncomfortable, and the pillows were worn and balled up. Several blinds throughout the home are outdated, do not function properly, and do not close.There are also maintenance issues, including a TV’s in several bedrooms that do not work. Spiders all down stairs with webs. Overall, the property feels in need of updates, better upkeep, and more attention to guest comfort. Unfortunately, we were EXTREMELY disappointed with the quality of the home given our expectations."
