Excellent Ryokan that has been well maintained and cared for given its long history.
The old facility is evident and yet despite that, provided a cosy stay.
The host was extremely warm and welcoming and showed the hospitality as one would expect from a traditional Ryokan passed down from decades old.

Great temple inn, close to Okonuin yet easy walk to town centre. Friendly monks with great food. The morning prayers and fire ritual is a plus, and do take the night tour of Okonuin.
We were in the new block which was very spacious and comfortable albeit walls are thin.

I don’t want to sound cliché but I can not recommend this place highly enough. Please go and please stay here. Every bit of it was wonderful, the dining experience, the garden, the onsens, the waterfall and the staff: exceptionally beautiful and enthusiastically helpful people.

Two wonderful nights at Soujiin, Koyasan. Beautiful property in centre of town with an authentic traditional Japanese experience. Meals are traditional Japanese, & are all vegetarian. Highly recommended!!

It was great to experience how the Buddhist live not withstanding it was a small insight. The history is steeped in the area and you can only imagine how the early settlers made their way. It was a great experience for us to reflect and take some time away.

This hotel has a huge advantage as it is virtually the only hotel in Hashimoto - I believe there is a hostel in the town but that's about it. Having said that, the hotel is relatively new, very well maintained and was pleasure to stay at (3 nights). Hashimoto is by no means a tourist town and there is little to offer in terms of traditional tourism sites. There is a gigantic Pachinko parlour within view and easy walking distance from the hotel (WINGS) if that interests you. Even if pachinko...

Really nice accommodation with friendly staff, with a beautiful river in front. The location is remote, but close to local attractions that we were visiting. The family tatami room was spacious, and the meals were traditional and delicious. The little gift store had some snacks for hungry kids. The outdoor onsen was lovely.
