Talkeetna Denali View Lodge and Cabins is a wonderfully peaceful and comfortable lodge just outside the fun town of Talkeetna. Dora and Toma are wonderful hosts and the setting that overlooked a large pond reminded us of the amazing natural world Alaska offers. Our stay was all too brief and it is worth noting that Tom can organize an extensive fishing expedition of one is so inclined. Dora is an accomplished artist and her works were a delightful enhancement to the lodge.

Property was fantastic and the owners were attentive and hospitable. Cozy and comfortable with spectacular views from the deck. Must stay, would definitely recommend!

We were not fishermen, we were doing a jet boat tour the next morning. It was a very nice little cottage. The owner was very nice and the property was very well maintained!

Very happy with this room. Very clean and lots of room. Loved the little breakfast bowl that was in the fridge. Had everything you could need. Fridge, microwave and coffee machine.

The room was spacious and clean. The deck was a nice place to visit and enjoy the scenery with new friends. The hosts were very helpful and friendly. They offered suggestions about local sites to see.

Small, quaint but very comfortable. Pleasant hosts
We took a gamble with staying in a small owner managed property. We were not disappointed. We were met by Tom Redman, the owner, who showed us around and welcomed us to use any of the property amenities. There were only a limited number of guest rooms (4) but we felt welcome in Tom and Dora's "home". It is tucked off the beaten path and you have about a 15 minute driver into Talkeetna but we were comfortable with the location. Our only issue was with the pleasant weather we enjoyed, the room was terribly hot. We had a ceiling fan but it provided limited comfort. I'm not sure of the lodge had central air conditioning. If it did, it wasn't turned on. We had a difficult time sleeping with the room so hot. The room had private bath, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and TV so there was no communal sharing of these things. We had our private accommodations even though Tom and Dora were sharing "their house". Breakfast service was eliminated during COVID and had not been restored. There was a breakfast sandwich in the refrigerator of our room but we chose just to get on the road in the morning and find a full breakfast elsewhere.

Tom (and Paco the chihuahua) welcomed us like family. Our room with a stunning view of Denali was supremely comfortable and appointed with top finishes… hair dryer, Kuerig coffee maker, Roku TV service. We liked it so much we cancelled our room at Denali Natl Park and came back!

The hosts were wonderful. The bed was very comfortable, BUT when we were used to a king bed, a queen size is too small to get a good night's sleep. The bathroom was spacious EXCEPT for the shower which was way too small. Finally, I was not aware when I made the reservation that all of the guest rooms were on the upper floor. I have limited mobility which made going up and down the stairs difficult. I also would have liked a regular breakfast instead of one in the refrigerator that you microwaved.

We absolutely LOVED our stay. Relaxing in the hot tub looking at the breathtaking mountains, the friendliness of the owners, and the extra step for breakfast was above and beyond! We loved it so much we hope to have something similar in Alaska when we retire just because of them! We loved the options they had for extra activities! We will be back!

This property is amazing and beautiful. Excellent location with a gorgeous view of Mt Denali and the forest. Super clean! But the best part of this visit were the owners Tom and Dora. By far two of the kindest and most joyful friends I had the blessing to meet. They helped me have the best vacation of my life

I never got to stay there it was 10 miles away from town in town did not have a taxi just a bicycle apparently it was in the fine print very fine print that said it was 10 miles away from town did not say there was not any taxis are no way for them to pick you up

Beautiful Place but more like a B&B
Beautiful place to stay. My wife and I stayed in the Trophy Suite. Very well decorated if you like stuffed animals hence the name of the suite, with lots of room. Nice bathroom. We never met the owners but were able to find our room from the note on the door. I did not have a problem with that but my wife thought it was strange. The only thing I did not like is the suite if off of the Dining room and kitchen of the house. It is only separated by a pair of Glass French doors. Its impossible to see through the doors, but we were able to hear other guest making coffee and putting dishes in the sink, and a few times other guest laughing while watching TV. After 10:00pm we did not hear anything else. I think its more like a B&B and if your ok with that this is a perfect place to stay if not you might not want the Trophy Suite.

One of the great views of all time.
The view of Denali and Mt. Foraker from the Yukon Room is breathtaking. This was a great place to stay. It is 13 miles into Talkeetna, but the Denali Brewing Company and taproom is about a mile away. You can't beat this place. Hot tub view is also spectacular.

The property was very nice and quiet and out of the way in the woods. We liked the hot tub with the views of the distant mountains. It was a shame that the 3 or the 4 blinds were in disrepair and could have been replaced for less than the cost of one night stay. Breakfast was advertised but was only old sandwiches that host suggested that we microwave. Owner/host was stoic but efficient.

The lodge is in a beautiful location and the lodge itself is beautiful. We stayed upstairs in the king bed and the view of Denali was beautiful. There is a hot tub on the deck that you have the backdrop of Denali. They even put food in the frig for us for breakfast which was nice since we had a fishing trip and we had to checkout at 5:15 am. The owner was very nice and showed us our room and like I said it was a beautiful room. The one thing to know is that this lodge also does fishing trips. The only negative thing is that you can’t check in until after 4 pm and you checkout by 1030 am. Otherwise this is a perfect hideaway when in talkeetna, it takes about 12 min to get to downtown.

This place was very clean and nice. We never saw the owners, but it was more like a B&B than a lodge. You could hear others through the walls. It felt more like sharing a house which I'm not a fan of and made us feel uncomfortable. The view is amazing if it's not a rainy or cloudy day to see the mountains. The hot tub is very nice to enjoy the view and relax. We did have a dietary issue and told them a week ahead of time and they didn't have the correct items for breakfast even tough we told them. That was a major disappointment. I texted the owners the night we arrived to let them know and didn't hear back until after 9:00AM the following day, by then we had already left for our next destination.

Disappointed in location on dirt road. Expected a lodge, not someone's home. No one home upon arrival. Breakfast was pre-packaged fruit cocktail cups, kids drink box/capri sun, reheatable McDonald's type sausag emuffin. Kuerig made 1 cup of coffee and malfunctioned.
