The staff always make this hotel welcoming and special. Additionally renovations to the rooms, including new beds, make for a comfortable stay.

Buen hotel en general
La aislación de ruido genial. La primera habitación que nos dieron estaba pasada a humo de cigarrillo. La limpieza estaba bien pero podría ser mejor en el baño. Los colchones duros y se sienten los resortes. Hay un joven rubio que atiende en el restaurante que debería tener mejores modales.

Arrived two hours before and requested pre check in and was charged half a day extra or would not be allowed in. (the rooms were available)The reason given, which has never happenned before, was because I made the reservation Via Expedia. That was the message forwarded by the acting manager upon our arrival. It is an unacceptable answer.

This is a businessman’s hotel. It was adequate for one night on our drive South on Ruta 5 and seems to be one of the better hotels in town. The pool is small and in a conservatory-like structure, very hot and humid. The staff was pleasant and tried hard to please.

Nice location, next to a long park. All restaurants nearby were closed. Hotel menu was not offered. Had to have a sandwich for dinner. Good breakfast.

Slowest check out ever
Good hotel in general. It was a nightmare to find a place to park and checkout another one. It took 1 hour 20 minutes to finish it. Pinpad didn't work, I tried 2 cards, personnel insisted that the machine was new. Suddenly one of them recommended to go to express hotel crossing street and there it worked. We had to hurried up to the airport for not to lose our flight,

Nice quiet area and very comfortable sleeping accomadation. Breakfast was very good with great selection of fruit, yogurt, sweets, juice and two types of hot eggs. Place was hard to find on old GPS but newer version was good. Lots of restaurants or other stores nearby. All within walking distance.

Nice hotel but street noise.
The hotel was fine but the street noise was a problem. We were next door to a restaurant/bar which closed at 2 am.

A good all-rounder
After quite a stressful journey to Talca and then finding it difficult to find a taxi in the 30C heat, Hotel Diego de Almagro was a welcome haven. My room was light, spacious and comfortable. A buffet breakfast was included. The only downside is that the hotel is on a busy road and there’s a lively bar quite close and so there was a bit of street noise . Altogether good value.

I use to visit the DA Hoteles. They are very similar all along the country. I recommend the restaurant tu visit the restaurant.

One night stay
The hotel staff were excellent and helped me readily. Despite my inability to speak Spanish, even the staff that didn't speak much English took their time and made the effort to get key points across. The room was large and comfortable and I had no complaints. I stayed on a Sunday night and walked around the area, but didn't feel completely comfortable on the dark streets with many abandoned buildings. I knew from the staff that it was quite safe however, and appreciated that reassurance.

Excellent hotel in Talca
Hotel Diego De Almagro was a perfect choice for our first night in Chile as we travelled south from Santiago Airport along the Pan American Highway. Very comfortable and welcoming. Breakfast included. Free WiFi and underground parking.

We only had a brief stay here arriving late afternoon and leaving early, but we found the accommodations suitable and pleasant. The rooms comfortable, staff cordial and helpful, and parking secure and indoors (basement). We had a good evening meal of sandwiches and fries. The breakfast was good. We would definitely visit here again.
