Very nice hotel and clean, I like the design of the hotel and the hospitality is very good, they are very welcoming in the front desk and the breakfast has a huge selection, the room is comfy and spacious. I do recommend this place if it’s your first time in taitung.

I requested a double bed but they assigned me to a one bed room then the front desk told me there dont have double rooms. Disappointed

Kindness TD 11112022
This is a new hotel in an old building and the building is in a renovation process. It has the Kindness hotel's service quality, but the renovation causes much inconvenience. I believe all will be back to normal shortly. Keep up the good jobs!

Hotel staff is extremely friendly. Since we are leaving early morning, they offer the take out breakfast for us. The hotel room rate includes late night snack which includes hot noodle soup, hot buns and desert. The food is excellent. The hotel is old. In some area, it did not smell good.

The KINDNESS Brand
We have stayed with the Kindness brand before and found it amazingly friendly...which is why we booked Kindness - Taitung in the first place. Many book with this chain because of their policy of 'free snacks'...which we also happily enjoyed - but it is the service attitude of all the staff which we fondly recall. Annie and her teammates at the counter did not disappoint - same for the restaurant staff, all of whom went continuously to refill their daily offerings and clearing the tables. While there, we also required the services of a doctor to check out an ear/hearing issue. Again, Annie and her teammates found us an Ear, Nose and Throat specialist, called and arranged for a taxi to take us directly. Lastly, let us not forget their signature greetings and bow!!

Friendly hotel with lots of extras
An excellent family friendly hotel with many extras like free coffee, tea, snacks and even ice cream in the lobby the entire day. There is also free night snacks from 8.00 pm onwards - you don’t need dinner after this, and of course buffet breakfast the next day. It certainly lives up to its name as a “kindness” hotel and real value for money. The rooms are also spacious, clean and comfortable. Service staff are very friendly and free parking is also available. Highly recommended for an awesome stay!

This is the third Kindness Hotel I've stayed at (Tainan and Hualian are the others), and they're all thumbs up. The staff at Taitung are extremely conscientious and courteous. The midnight noodles and full breakfast were delicious and an added bonus. Free wifi, parking, and plenty of complimentary water add to the value. To top it off, the free bicycles were in good condition and quite handy as Taitung is a very bicycle-friendly city with excellent beach and forest parks and trails. I highly recommend the Kindness Hotel chain, and the Taitung hotel in particular.

Yummy supper
The staff are noticeably more helpful than most of other hotels, especially in dining areas. The complimentary supper serves good quality local food. We got to sample many dishes including a delicious Yam porridge. The staff even gave recommendations and made sure we didn't miss the local dessert which was a jelly.

Location is a put off.
Though near train station, location is a put off. Not near to attactions, shops and amenities at all. Need to take taxi to night market about 15 mins drive away. Booked 2 nights but staff could only find 1 night. Not sure what happened. Hotel is also run down though clean. Would rather stay at Sheraton which is directly in the city. Staff performance could also be better. Breakfast and night snack voucher given only a per day basis. Refused to give for 2 nights. Tomorrow then can collect next day's vouchers. Very troublesome.

We've stayed in many Kindness Hotels before, but it was the first time to try out the one in Taitung. Immediately on arrival, we were surprised by the great service - being greeted with an umbrella at the taxi, this kind of service is unusual for the brand. Generally everbody in the hotel was super hospitable and tried everything to make our stay perfect (unfortunately it was only for one night). The hotel offers free breakfast, late night supper, all day drinks, ice cream and small snacks. The style is very nice with a traditional boat in the entrance hall. The rooms however are a bit run-down and outdated - luckily they're currently in the process of renovating and should be finished soon. If you don't mind that it's a bit away from downtown Taitung, this is a perfect place to stay.

優點: 1.原訂雙人房,意外被升級成四人房,算是旅途中的開心驚喜, 2.入住後就可免費無限享用三種餅乾/飲料/冰淇淋, 3.八點的消夜時間也為我們免去一頓出外覓食的麻煩 4.房間隔音不錯,停車場也方便就在飯店後門,附近是住宅區所以沒有喧囂 5.雖說裝潢老式,但浴室內的縫隙都沒有黴的蹤跡,地板馬桶蓮蓬頭都是乾乾淨淨 6.早餐的服務人員piggy(或peggy)是個熱情十足的女孩, 不僅是為飯店加分,也為台東行銷,讚讚讚!! 7.沐浴用品分成男女專用,是一種貼心 8.消夜時段的飯店服務人員非常鼓勵大家盡情享用,不像一般飯店所提供的buffet總是斤斤計較就是怕人吃的心態 缺點: 1.床偏軟 2.房間空調聲音偏大
