"Really cool old school full of History area to stay in the Shenandoah National Park. Feels great to be immersed in nature. Nice little Lodge area with overlook. A few small downsides... Person at front desk wouldn't change our room so that we could stay another night even though they had plenty of rooms available open for two nights. They said it was because I booked on Expedia. But this sounds like it's just red tape nonsense. Just help the person in front of you and forget about the he computer. Also wouldn't allow us to purchase bottled water even though there was a fridge with water right in front of us because it wasn't the right time of day. Ridiculous."

"Great location right outside of Luray for an affordable price. Very quiet and easy to check in. We called and got our door code and we were in earlier than our check-in time. The rooms had clearly been remodeled recently with updated flooring, paint, furniture, etc. The sheets and towels were lacking though. It doesn't seem like they upgraded the towels since they upgraded the rooms. Very thin, very small. The door that connected to another room had a very wobbly doorknob which made it feel unsafe between rooms, but I wasn't overly concerned. Liked that there was a mini fridge with a freezer, microwave, and small single coffee machine. We had the 2 bedroom suite at the very end, so we had plenty of space for the 4 of us. We were only there one night so we didn't use anything else on the property, but it seemed ok and better than the hotels we passed in the area!"

"If you are travelling with kids, I do not recommend the hotel. The hallways smell of strong marijuana everywhere, so strong my kids were coughing and had to cover their nose and mouth. Sheets had visible stains. Only one lamp was working. Alarm clock wasn’t set and was blinking. You can hear the cars throughout the night as it is near the busy roads. The only thing I appreciate was the free breakfast. I don’t ever write hotel reviews but I had to this time as a parent."

"The resort was clean and quiet, which my family enjoyed since it wasn’t very busy. The condos are a little outdated and could use upgrades, so if you’re looking for luxury accommodations this may not be the best option. Also keep in mind that most amenities come with an extra cost very little is included besides the pool. We were given rec center passes, only to find out upon arrival that the arcade games still required additional payment. The restaurants were mediocre, and there aren’t many coffee options on-site. I ended up driving off the resort for coffee before realizing the market sells a small selection with a limited menu. The only other coffee shop was inside the water park, which you cannot access without purchasing water park tickets. We didn’t do many resort activities because most extras were overpriced. Instead, we chose to spend time at the mall and a spa off the property. Booking information for the spa on the website was unclear, especially regarding pricing. This was supposed to be a relaxing Mother’s Day getaway for my family. Unfortunately, the timeshare tour offered on our checkout date was not a pleasant experience. Had we known beforehand that this was a timeshare resort, we likely would have booked elsewhere and skipped the tour entirely. Once we declined purchasing a timeshare, the sales staff became noticeably rude. That being said, the general resort staff were friendly, helpful, and accommodating throughout our stay."

"Room was spacious, clean and bed was comfortable. The breakfast at the restaurant was the highlight of my stay. So yummy. I'll definitely be staying there again."
