"Breakfast was fantastic, staff fabulous, friendly bar/restaurant with locals and evening meals great. Room could benefit from an update but it's situated in a lovely old building with great pictures and memorabilia worth looking at. We would most certainly stay there again without question. "

"Yes good selection from Bar however some staff need to smile a bit often i feel they are there on sufference. My room was excellent however cold due to heaters on timers. Windows where absolutely filthy. On a positive note, front facing reception staff where excellent particularly Charlotte "

"Staff delightful, nothing too much trouble. Nice and clean, and what you would expect from a 17th century establishment, and comfortable. Parking was secure and easily accessible. You are in the centre of the village. Easy access to other areas of the Scottish Borders. Evening tends to close early so make sure you bring a good book. "

"Hotel is conveniently located in the attractive town centre where there is a good selection of restaurants and cafes. Good views at the back of the river. "

"This was a lovely place to stay which we chose partly because it has some EV charging facilities. The restaurant and bar have a good selection with well kept beer and the staff are helpful and friendly. We especially recommend the panna cotta, however, all the food was good. The bedroom and bathroom were a good size and well appointed with tea, coffee and water. We would visit again "
