It was spotless and beautifully decorated! Rick and Cassie thought of each and every detail.The location was great for kayaking on the canal, roasting marshmallows by the firepit, relaxing on anybof the 3 porches, a short walk to the beach and a short ride to Corolla. We were greeted by the wild horses upon our arrival and nearly once a day throughouy our stay.If you want the ability to unplug and relax with the ability to easily access town, this is your place! *****"

"I booked Skyview by the Sea for my family and my in-laws! It was walking distance to the beach and a very short drive with our truck! Everyone LOVED this place! The rooms and bathrooms were clean! Every room had their own bathroom! The pool, the hot tub, the pool table, corn hole, all the board games…. The best! Perfect for a family get away! I loved that the pool was gated with having a 2 yr old along. We loved the big table inside that fit all of us for dinner! Nice size kitchen for cooking… and with a dish washer! We also loved being at the very top deck of the house to see the sun rise and sun sets! Great place! 100% would book again! "

"Excellent remote location! We rented a 4 wheel drive Expedition and my daughter drove an AWD Terrain across the beach to get to the house. The house is awesome and you'll see wild horses everyday. The closest grocery store is the food lion in town so plan accordingly. The owners have the house stocked very well but book this house and enjoy the privacy and driving one minute to the ocean."

"This was our first time on the 4X4 Beach and we are in love with the area. We found this house by a drive by the year prior. We read the reviews and booked the house. To be honest we were a little nervous as we have never used VRBO before. We could not have been happier with the host as she answered our questions quickly and politely. She was accommodating and understanding to our needs. The house was the cleanest we have ever experienced as we have been vacationing in OBX for 25 years. In regard to amenities and items in the home for your use there is nothing your could ask for, the home is completely stocked and well thought out by the owners. We are booked and looking forward to coming back in 2026."

"Upon arrival, exterior has changed based on photos in app. Grounds of the property no kept up on. Grille in the back yard can’t be used unless you want to stand in 3 ft grass/weeds. Entry to the house was easy. Inside the house immediately a splatter of blood on the wall next to the light switch, additional blood found on the master bathroom door and in the stair way to upstairs. Water puddle in front of the refrigerator each day. Cob webs in each corner of the walls and down walls, Internet/Wifi does not work it’s not strong enough to carry through the house. We used hotspot on rainy days and evenings powered every tv. Tech came out to address refrigerator didn’t fix it, internet/wifi he said always an issue at this house. We couldn’t use the pantry as it was infested with ants (can be expected in the remote location) but still a pain. Brindlay Beach was fully aware of everything. They did offer to send a maid to clean. We already bleach/sanitized the walls & doors in fact wiped down chairs and counters to be safe. Overall we made the best of it spending every hour we could on the beach. House is very convenient, the sunrise is breath taking and so close to the best places to park on the beach. Horses stroll down the road and camp out on the property. The Beach, Horses, Sunrise and Memories made the issues at the house minimal. We did expect some kind of comp for the inconveniences. But it is what it is. And our memories will last forever."

"This VRBO rental in Carova Beach was exactly as described. Check-in was simple, the house was clean along with sheets, towels and blankets. If you know Carova Beach, you should be aware that the water will smell like sulfur. Be sure to bring your own drinking water and any other items you need because there are no shops after leaving Corolla. The power in the kitchen remains faulty, the only outlets functioning in the kitchen are closest to the refrigerator and stove, which was no problem for our stay. No high chair available. Classic coffee pot available! Please list that there is a Gas grill available! The kitchen sink would benefit with a silicone strainer; The current metal one stops the flow of water down the drain unless you lift it. Thank you, we enjoyed your home and our weekend vacation! "

"Home was in a great location with easy beach access and fantastic views. However, several issues included black mold on the mirrors in one bedroom, pool completely unfit for use, some bathrooms did not have any toilet paper at all, no bathrooms had any shampoo or hand soap (and this was not cautioned by the host), the couch showed visible stains (and it's on dark cloth), and the dishware was not clean. The host often took too long to respond (greater than 1-2 hours), so issues could not be resolved during our stay. As great as the location is, I would opt for alternate lodging options in the future."
