"Beautifully renovated room right across the street from the ocean. You can’t get any better than that! Our king room was very large, and at night we sat outside and watched the sun set. Walking distance to restaurants and shops- just book it!"

"The en-suite toilet was dirty, with visible feces stuck to the inside of the bowl. This left us questioning whether the other touch surfaces, shower and tub floor, faucets, and other areas had been properly sanitized. We found cleaning supplies and ultimately cleaned those areas ourselves.Otherwise, the floors and kitchen appeared clean. There were, however, abundant cobwebs around the vaulted ceiling areas, and one of the picture windows had noticeable handprints all over it. The large “Lord’s Prayer” displayed in the dining area was also not to our taste.That said, we came primarily for the beach, and the location did not disappoint. Direct beach access is right across the street, with a beautiful sandy beach just a short walk away. We enjoyed beautiful ocean views from the deck lounge chairs while having morning coffee and tea, and ended the day with an evening cocktail while watching the sunset.Overall, despite the housekeeping issues, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the location. Would I stay here again? Most definitely."

"Cute hotel, room was much larger than expected (hadn’t looked at any photos ahead of booking). Room was clean. Location was great, walking distance to beach and restaurants. Staff friendly. My only complaint is that the pillow was too firm for my preference. I would stay there again. *As we were waiting to check in another couple was at the desk complaining “they got the worst room in the place” (idk what room number) and were being moved to a new room. We were in room S10 and it was perfectly fine."

"The check in is done at a coffee shop across the street. Unusual but it worked well. The staff there is very nice and efficient. The apartment is as shown in the photos. It is a good size for 4 adults. The location is really good. just a few steps from the beach. The beach surprised us. It very large, calm. Perfect for families. There are very good restaurants on the street where the hotel is. We tried 5 of them and they were all excellent. The checkout process was simple. Just stopped at the coffee shop and it was done in 2 minutes,"

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been catching our breath as a family in Manzanita for over 20 years. Memories span from their children, their youth and now their young adult hood ... Ocean’s Doorstep was the ideal setting for us in this season of our life. The outdoor table saw us gathering every evening to feast together after surfing, hiking, beach-combing or strolling through town. This beach house was all we expected it to be ... we’re already hoping to return in a few years."
