"room very clean, smells good, housekeeping are amazing, beach view and street view are excellent, check in staff were kind, friendly, helpful, welcoming, except for the other front desk staff during our there are not welcoming, not friendly, no eye to eye contact… AC is perfect, this is an amazing hotel, except for some unfriendly front desk staff."

"We had a marvelous room with character, overlooking the beach and wharf in santa cruz. The bed was extremely comfortable, though the pillows were a little weird. There was a HUGE tv screen in the room, plus microwave, fridge and coffee maker. The room also came with a huge shower and beautifully renovated bathroom and a private balcony. The room was spotlessly clean and had architectural features from its older heritage. There was one flight of stairs to access it. It could not have been more convenient for walking to the beach wharf or boardwalk, and for watching volleyball players snd surfers. The room even came with an in wall gas fireplace."

"We spent five nights at the house in June 2026. We had previously stayed at the house in 2024 and enjoyed it enough to make a return trip. We are three generations of a Bay Area family (16 humans including an infant and toddler along with two canines) and do an annual retreat to relax and socialize. The house has what some might find a funky layout that actually works wonderfully for large groups. It is basically a duplex with no dividing wall. This means you have two spacious living rooms (folks were talking and reading in one while watching World Cup in the other) as well as two full kitchens (great to use one for coffee while the other is being used for breakfast prep) and dining rooms (great to use larger table for meals of the whole group of 14 while using the slightly smaller table for puzzles).There six bedrooms and two full baths downstairs (actually nice to not have any baths in suite so they are both fully available). Upstairs has two half baths.Kitchens were nicely stocked and there were sufficient linens for everyone. The house is spacious and comfortable, just what we remembered, needed, and enjoyed."

"We had a very enjoyable stay overall and would definitely consider visiting again. The property was clean, comfortable, and offered plenty of space for our family. The staff was friendly and welcoming throughout our stay, and the location was excellent—close to several beautiful beaches and convenient to local attractions. There were a few drawbacks. Our cottage was located up quite a few stairs, which made carrying luggage and navigating with children a bit challenging. The breakfast options were fairly limited, and the parking spaces were quite tight. Families with young children should also note that our bathroom did not have a bathtub, which made bath time a little more difficult. While the hotel is on the pricier side, the overall experience, cleanliness, comfort, and location helped justify the cost. With a few minor improvements, it would be even better. Overall rating: 8.5/10."
