I paid more for a lake view and got a view of the parking lot 😞 nothing was done when I asked about it-way overpriced for what you get!! The pool area was nice

Fantastic
Fantastic hotel with brilliant facilities. We came on a particularly warm day and could have done with air conditioning, but other than that we couldn't fault the hotel. When the renovation works are complete (I never once heard the builders working though), this hotel will be amazing.

Great views of the Sorpesee
Great stay from arrival to departure. Clean and modern room (stayed in a junior loft in the new wing). Sky spa is great, breakfast is very good and for the most part the staff are all very friendly and helpful. I would definitely return.

A gem by the lake!
Had the perfect stay -- three quiet nights in a room with a lovely view of the lake and the mountains. The bed was comfortable, not too hard or soft. The room was cleaned and vacuumed every day. Great breakfast buffet included in the price - don't miss out! I would definitely stay here again even though it's a bit of a winding drive off the main road.

I was in one of the old rooms which are totally different to the new ones (which are much more expensive). I had to ask twice for the maid to clean under the bed which had various items from a previous occupant underneath! The spa is great, fabulous views & not too busy when I went early evenings. The restaurant is good but expensive. Great choice for breakfast. I used a free bike to cycle around the lake but it did need new brakes!

Hotel overall is good
The hotel is quiet and clean. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Nearby area the lake is beautiful and plenty of places to walk around.

Nice Location at the side of the Sorpe Dam
The stay could have been better ,when we arrived the lift wasn't working so we were shown up three flights of stairs with our suitcases only to find the room we had been allocated was occupied , off we went back down to reception we were then given a ground floor room which in itself was ok but it was connected to corroder leading to the new building extension so we were at the edge of the building works , the free Wi-Fi is very limited within the hotel our room hardly received at all and it is not available in the restaurant ,the car park is dusty and was full of builders vans from 8.30 am- 4.00pm . On the plus side the staff were always friendly some speaking English better than others ,the food in the restaurant was tasty and nicely presented and when the new complex is finished it will enhance the existing hotel building

Personal und Zimmer top.Handtücher und Bademäntel könnten mal erneuert werden. Einige Aufhängungen fürJacken etc. fehlten uns. Das Abendessen , einfach mega. Auch Preis Leistung stimmt. Die Brötchen beim Frühstück sehr geschmacksneutral . Lieber kleinere und dafür bessere Qualität, wenn man abends das Brot probiert hat , einfach super lecker.

Leider waren Essenzeiten vorgegeben. Deshalb musste der Tagesablauf geplant werden, was im Urlaub nicht gewollt ist. Tolles Zimmer aber keine Möglichkeit zum Aufhängen von Duschhandtüchern. Wellnessbereich war super. Frühstück war auch klasse. Wir werden bestimmt wieder kommen.

Wir waren von Montag bis Mittwoch im Dezember hier und es hat uns wirklich gut gefallen. Hervorzuheben ist sicherlich das Personal, das wirklich sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend war. Wir waren im neueren Teil untergebracht. Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig und wirklich schön eingerichtet. Es gab alles, was man für einen entspannten Aufenthalt benötigt. Die Betten waren sehr bequem. Der Wellnessbereich umfasst eine Sauna und den Infinitypool. Zudem gibt es einen Ruheraum mit sechs „Betten“ und im Poolraum gibt es weitere Liegemöglichkeiten. Für die Gäste, die mit uns da waren, reichte das vollkommen aus. Etwas schade war, dass es weder auf der Webseite noch sonst vorab Informationen zum Massageangebot gibt. Tatsächlich ist es möglich, über externe Anbieter Massagen zu buchen und es gibt auch einen separaten Massageraum hierfür. Diese Information haben wir aber erst im Wellnessbereich selbst gesehen. Eine kurze Info vorab hätte uns auf jeden Fall dazu bewegt, noch eine Massage zu buchen. So war es leider zu spät (eine Anbieterin war im Urlaub und die anderen nicht zu erreichen). Ggf könnte man auch überlegen, die Vereinbarung über das Hotel laufen zu lassen. Die Umgebung ist wirklich sehr schön und kann für längere Spaziergänge genutzt werden. Im Sommer kann man auch im Sorpesee schwimmen. Am Dienstag waren wir im Seegarten essen und es war wirklich ausgezeichnet. Auch das Frühstück lässt keine Wünsche offen und wird mit viel Liebe zubereitet.

Wir bekamen ein Upgrade wegen des Wasserschadens im Stammhaus. Somit bekamen meine Freundinnen und ich jeweils ein riesiges Zimmer zur Seeseite. Es war wunderschön. Das Frühstück ist auch hervorzuheben, es bleiben keine Wünsche offen. Am letzten Tag durften wir den Spa Bereich bis 15 Uhr nutzen. Es war alles in allem eine tolle Auszeit in einem wunderschönen Hotel. Lediglich bei einer Freundin funktionierte am letzten Morgen der elektrische Vorhang nicht und sie saß somit im dunklen Zimmer ohne Ausblick. Was auch schöner wäre, wenn der Vorhang in der Mitte geteilt wäre. Zum Öffnen muss erst wieder der gesamte Vorhang elektrisch geöffnet werden. Wir bedanken uns nochmals für die wunderschöne Zeit.
