"Mostly a good time, just a couple hiccups. We stayed in an apparent off season, combined with the fact that there are tons of new builds around with them not necessarily being filled (shops and restaurants). So the area was pretty quiet overall. There are a couple restaurants nearby, but it's also not a terribly far walk towards Sun World park itself where there are more restaurants and mini marts. If you go the opposite direction, towards Cai Dam area, you’ll find more local places and prices. Hotel itself was pretty nice, could use a touch up here and there. Room was spacious, bed was comfortable, window looked out front. Bathroom was mostly ok, but at least in our room, there were several gaps in the shower wall where it met the floor. This meant as you showered the entire floor would be flooded. Again, once we knew, we knew. Breakfast was great too. Hotel manager was pretty helpful getting us rides to/from Hanoi, along with a decent price on a day cruise. My one word of caution with any of these is the actual transportation. Our ride from the airport was an hour late picking us up (traffic...but ya know there's traffic, so plan ahead and be on time for a paid service). On the way to the hotel, we actually had to stop for 30 minutes so he could charge (EV) the car enough to make it all the way to the hotel. On the way back to the airport, different driver had to stop for gas with us in the car. And then asked to take us the long way to avoid tolls. "

"Booked for 3 different stays for a few nights at a time. Canceled my other bookings due to multiple issues. Every step you take you will find hair on the floor. Everywhere including the bathroom. Kettle taped together with sticky tape and extremely dirty. Snot on the walls in multiple spots. Hairs on and in the bed. Duvet with pee stains on it. Filthy under beds. Entire hotel smells of cigarette. Patrons walk through hotel in corridors, elevator and rooms smoking. Got into arguments over it. Extreme nightclub music outside. Couldn't sleep. Asked to change room in first night. Second room on same night stunk of smoke and woke me up in the middle of the night. Aircon also does the same with smoke. Changed rooms again next day. 3rd room hot water lasted less than a minute. Shower has no shelves and soap and shampoo needs to go on the floor. No toilet roll holder. Aircon didn't work and spat out cigarette smoke as well. Bed isn't hard but not soft. New room had view of a building about 3m away. Last straw were mice waking me up at 4am and me not being able to have warmth in the middle of the night because of the duvet with pee stains. Just couldn't stay here any more even though cash is an issue for me. Stayed in rooms 408, 407, and 305. I paid an extra $20 CAD more and went to a 5 star hotel with breakfast included in a room with ocean views and a gym and pool. Much happier. "
