We had a good time. The only thing that was deceiving was the shared hot tub as we thought we had our own But I would definitely stay again! Thank you!

Cosy and convenient for a family ski holiday
Sun Peaks is a wonderful ski field with plenty of choice for beautiful runs. The snow is light & fluffy and perfect. Staying in the Village is the best way to experience the convenience of ski-in : ski-out location. No time is wasted. Fireside Lodge is at the top of the village. Each morning we brought the skis out of the locker and skied past the shops to the chair lift. Delightful! This unit was cosy & comfortable for a family of 5 with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a lounge. The decor is dated "Country style" but suits the ski chalet feel. The bedrooms are small but there is room in the lounge for socialising. We cooked dinner most nights in the reasonably stocked kitchen. We had our groceries delivered from Kamloops which had us well stocked up from the start. We enjoyed 3 dinners out in the local Village restaurants. It pays to make a reservation several days in advance as they get very busy during the Christmas/New Year holidays. After 7 days of skiing we were tired yet happy. Pleased with the choice of accomodation for its location. The question for next time is..... do we stay in the same place or try something new?

Not worth the money.
Here is a copy of the letter I sent to Bear Country: Hello I am not sure if this is the right address to send my feedback. I have stayed at the Fireside Lounge two times previously with no complaints. This past weekend, I brought my parents and husband. I feel I need to give my feedback because otherwise you may not have any idea about the condition your rentals may be in when people arrive. The rooms did not look like the furniture had been dusted, or for that matter, washed as there was grit and sticky drink residue on some of the tables. I went to use a washcloth from the rack and it looked like it was covered in I don't know what. The patio furniture appeared as if it had not been wiped off once this season. The first three drinking glasses I pulled from the cupboard had cracks half way down the side. This was not an inexpensive weekend for us. I was embarrassed that I had brought my parents here as I had boasted about our two previous stays. I do not want compensation, I just want you to be aware. Although they are not very clear, I will attach three pictures. One is of the facecloth which literally made me recoil when I went to use it, one is of the night table in the smaller bedroom, and the third is of two of the cracked glasses.
