With the continuation of the COVID-19 pandemic, travelling today comes with a few more challenges than usual. Make a note of these helpful tips before jumping on your flight to Sucia Island:

• Know what rules and restrictions apply to both your origin and destination. You may not be able to travel depending on local circumstances, so make sure you check before you lock something in.
• Keep your face mask on even during airport screening. A TSA employee will ask you to lower your mask temporarily for ID purposes.
• To avoid cross-contamination, place your boarding pass on the reader yourself and then hold it up for inspection. Do not hand your boarding pass directly to a TSA employee.
• TSA is now allowing passengers to take one container of hand sanitizer, up to 12 oz (350 ml) in size, in carry-on bags. This will have to be removed from your bag for X-ray scanning.
• To reduce handling during screening, place personal items such as your wallet, phone and belt into your carry-on instead of the bins.
• Transport any food items in a clear plastic bag and also place them in a screening bin. Separating food from your carry-on makes it less likely that a TSA employee will need to open your bag for inspection.
