"We stayed here for one night last week. For the price we paid we were happy. Bed was comfortable, parking right outside. The room was clean, reception efficient when we checked in and box to leave key card as we left early. It did feel like a 1960's holiday chalet style accommodation but for £50 we were happy."

"The hunting lodge is a perfect venue our large family gathering - ten adults, two children and two under 18 months. The views are amazing and the peace is breathtaking. Everyone said the beds were too soft for them but that is personal preference. Plenty of grass for children to run around and of outdoor games. Loved the big table for all of us to eat together though the kitchen is small for the size of the property (a second kitchen is at the other end of the house). We paid extra for the wood fired hot tub and it was disappointing that it isn’t warm enough to use on the first evening. If you were there on a 2 night break, it would be hard to justify the cost against the useage."

"On entering room.. toilet lid off & stood next to toilet on the floor & bin in bedroom contained someone's pink false nails!! Obviously not clean or maintained. Reported to reception & had a standard reply of " I'll inform maintenance" doesn't really address the issues WE experienced did it!"

"Stay clear! Don’t know when the photos were taken but it’s not like that now! We arrived at house and knocked door to get access to lodge… no answer! Just a faded note we couldn’t read and guttering falling around front door. Anyway thought we would go to lodge to see if we could find anyone only to find mouldy doors, cracked dirty render, rusty cars in parking area and piles of junk outside every door to lodges! Hence we left and booked a holiday inn which was good! I’ve asked for a refund only to be told I should’ve cancelled 24 hours in advance…. Obviously if I knew I wouldn’t have booked it in the first place! The pictures advertising this property are not a real reflection of the place… it is being missold and I would advise everyone to save there money! We didn’t make it in the room that’s how bad it was! I was embarrassed I took my partner there! I hope the owner reads this after denying my refund! 😁"
