"Very clean and comfortable . Noisy metal plate on road outside clinked every time a car went over it but not a lot the hotel can do about that. Staff very pleasant right from check in to evening meal. Great location for shops and cathedral "

"Comfortable room, bed, pillows, heating. Excellent breakfast for such a comparatively small number of rooms. Not made sufficiently clear that there is no en suite on the single room, but in fact the single use bathroom opposite is probably larger than you would get as an ensuite. The lack of reception staff is disconcerting, but the key codes work."

"Would love to be able to give a higher rating because there is lots of amenities in room the staff were friendly room serviced daily free WiFi lovely big garden birds and trees and in a great position to explore Ely. It was quiet and dark. Unfortunately the place stinks of stale cigarettes which as a non smoker with heart and lung conditions is very off-putting and means I wouldn't stay here again. The room was very dusty with questionable stains on the carpet and linen and yellowing paintwork. There was black mould in the shower. My bathroom was tiny but adequate. The bed base looked like it was made of wooden pallets. It is rather dated and in need of a deep clean and a refurbishment. It could be excellent with a little tlc. "

"A perfect holiday home. Good weather helped and very nice to sit outside and see the sunsets. Well placed for visiting Ely, Cambridge and N T sites. Great to have Wicken Fen and Wicken windmill so close."

"Overall great stay. Nice, quite and secure property. Lovely views after a long day at work, it was nice to unwind with a beer and look over the field watching the sun set every night. Huge comfy leather sofas. Was never bothered by the property owner, but any questions or problem was sorted right away. Hes a genuinly nice man.Would stay again. Couple things to note. Upstairs flooring and stairs very creaky.Could'nt use the oven and 3 hobs at the same time without tripping fuse board. Kitchen chair legs seem very loose was nervous to sit down on them to eat our dinner."
