"I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. The staff actually came out to our car to greet us and took our luggage directly to the room. We were welcomed very warmly. The staff all spoke perfect English, which I certainly don't expect when I travel abroad but it makes the stay much easier. "We stayed for 3 nights and were very happy. We booked a double room, but were upgraded to a triple. Staff was very helpful with any questions we had. Buffet breakfast every day had a choice for every taste with homemade delicious cakes to finish. The hotel is located only 5 min walk to the lake and ferry terminal and a beautiful 20 min coastal walk to the down town Stresa which was very convenient."

"Staff were very efficient and polite. Gave some good places to visit in Stresa. The room was very small, one small chair and no table. Had to use floor to place luggage and belonging. Not a nice room, regretted staying at this hotel!"

"Great stay and great staff. Rooms were a bit noisy as you can hear sounds from the hallway and other adjacent rooms. Besides that, only complaint is they didn’t have a “Do Not Disturb” sign in the room and housekeeping ended up walking in on me while I was asleep, they do start cleaning quite early. Room looked like pictures and hotel was unique. If you’re a younger traveler, the hotel caters more to an older crowd but the experience was still wonderful. "

"I would recommend this place to a friend going to Stresa. A comfortable apartment, well located and relatively reasonable price. One important point is that the checkin is at Hotel Meeting one block down the street. If one does not know this one would have trouble. Expedia should do a better job of making this clear and I think Villa Maurice or Hotel Meeting should send an email explaining this to everyone who makes a reservation. That is my only criticism."
