"I don’t think I could have found a nicer place to stay. I was looking for an ‘ away from city’ stay and this ticked all the boxes. Owners are warm and welcoming and incredibly helpful. They live upstairs but interact only if and when you want them to. Nothing is too much trouble. I fed the deer, sheep chickens and quails so if you are an animal person, this is utopia. "Great staff - we’re very helpful with gaining ideas for things to do in the area. Parking was good, but tight with a larger vehicle. Only criticism is when the room was serviced, the bed was made and towels replaced, but the cups/mugs weren’t replaced, so had to clean these myself in the bathroom sink to reuse. Other than that, an enjoyable stay and would book again. "
