10/10 Excellent
"Our stay was fantastic. But because we reserved thru Expedia we were not notified about reserving a parking spot. There are only 9 spots for the whole hotel. This is not acceptable. We are handicapped seniors, we would have had to park almost 1/3 of a mile away. Thanks to a very helpful employee(Breanna) we eventually got a parking spot due to a cancellation. The hotel has been beautifully refurbished, the employees were helpful and considerate, but not having enough parking and not having a reasonable alternative is not acceptable. We have visited Stratford once or twice a year for the past 30 years… we will only return to this hotel if parking is available."

10/10 Excellent
"Expedia didn't deliver our booking message so the hotel wasn't ready for our dog ($75 fee) but a bowl and bed were provided on request. All staff were charming, very attentive & responsive. Spotless room, quality furnishings, Scandinavian simplicity, thoughtful details. Excellent shower with very rare handheld wand (seniors take note: no safety bars). The small toilet in a tight area was uncomfortable for a large person. Excellent temperature controls. Very comfortable bed & pillows. Quality robes (men's L). Bass sounds from 2nd floor ballroom might have bothered some guests so if silence is required, make it known. Breakfast was unremarkable ($15 prepaid = very basic choices from a set menu) & took an inordinate amount of time to prepare. The restaurant has no patio & dogs can't be left unattended so we had to take turns at breakfast, which took up most of our morning (room service is a better option). Parking access requires special attention at the front desk & a walk around the block but there's a small lot next to the building for loading. DOGS: grassy areas are very scarce! (We felt bad about peeing on posts.) Thankfully, there are plenty of trash bins so the streets are very tidy. We never felt unsafe but as can be expected in urban centres, there were occasional people in doorways. The hotel is steps away from event plazas, cafes, shops, etc, and downtown is lovely until about 10 pm. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. 9/10 ♦HIDDEN GEM: La Lola tapas♦"
