"The six of us have stayed in many rental properties, and this one was far and away the BEST we have ever experienced. The conveniently located house was beautiful, homey, and welcoming, with comfortable beds and couches. This house had every amenity you can imagine, from a well-stocked kitchen to books and family games. While some rentals have a sterile feeling, this house was quite the opposite. The host communicated often and was helpful with suggestions. A definite home to return to!"

"Never given instructions on how to find the right door to the multiple housing unit. We arrived Friday, got ready to explore Salem for the night, as we all took showers to get ready for a fun night, realized the hot water was not working right-We thought that since it’s such an old place, maybe it would just take a bit for the hot water to heat up. We also repeatedly pushed the buttons for the thermostat, and thought it would just take a bit of time to warm up. It did not. We went to bed in sweatpants and sweatshirts and coats, and woke up in the morning to a 48 house. As we got up in the morning to take showers, we realize there was absolutely no hot water and we were already freezing to death because of no heat. But our day still had to go on so we had to push through and take ice showers. After I texted the host and told them about the problems, they said they would try to get someone out to fix it but she was having trouble finding someone. At first, she offered a refund for our entire stay. That changed though-any kind of refund for the inconvenience of freezing for two days was denied. The heat and hot water heater were fixed by 7-ish Sat. night. We have been home for 3 weeks now going back-and-forth repeatedly ask or some sort of refund, but they simply don’t care. I do not recommend anyone staying at this place. Location is bad if Salem is your destination(20 min uber) If something goes wrong, you won’t get any of your money back."
"It was absolutely fantastic! Perfect location, wonderful apartment. I absolutely loved the historic charm. The town was like a scene in a hallmark Christmas movie. The hosts were wonderful. Best VRBO yet (and I’ve stayed in many!) highly recommended :) "
