Everyone who worked there was really nice. Little hard to find a shop open in the evening so just be prepped. I’m sure they have extra food at the hotel

A welcoming nice hotel. The staff very helpful and the reception staff were very good sorting out my booking error. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Comfy bed but room was way too hot to sleep

Staff and service was amazing, bed comfy but room was stifling hot even with a portable air conditioning unit as the window doesn’t open wide enough for the hot air to be let out, so although the bed was extremely comfy I couldn’t manage any sleep. The bathroom flooded as I took a shower because the shower screen is not sufficient and I had to leave all the towels on the floor to absorb the water.

Nice stay 1 night. Easy parking and dining. Only thing I would say is that there is not enough hooks or towel rails to hang towels and there is not enough surface area to put toiletries etc so it's a bit of a juggling act on the bathroom.

Great place to stay

Really lovely room. Comfy beds and pillows. Water is boiling. Lighting could be better at the bed end of the room as with all lights on it’s still dark. Room was spotless and well decorated. Breakfast was great and plentiful. Parking is free.

Typical English hotel. Everything is old and used but in good condition. The bed was really great. Thin walls and a loud disturbing ventilation. Breakfast English with nothing special. Just acceptable. For this price not ok.

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights and were happy with the hotel and staff, but we think the showers were very slippery and could do with a bath mat especially for older residents.

Very clean, free parking, close to restaurants, 5mins to train station, on bus route, has a restaurant & bar, buffet b/fast quite good, has beautiful outdoor patio and garden, no A/C in room but room fan, no elevator but manager willing to assist.

A lovely old building but beware of the stairs. We arrived with very heavy suitcases having just returned from a lengthy long haul destination holiday and were not offered any assistance getting them to our room (we are in our 70s) only realised we could get assistance when reading info in room. Breakfast was excellent, bar and restaurant comfortable and well used if not well signed! Would stay here again.
