East Hertfordshire District Holidays from NZ$3,387

You can’t beat the convenience and location! The breakfast buffet with made to order eggs. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We will be back!

Clean, reasonably quiet for an airport hotel room. Fine for a night. Check-in a bit chaotic. Having filled out the way-too-extensive pre-checkout form, arrived to find all the automated check-in machines down and long lines at desk. Later, ordering dinner in bar, had trouble getting staff’s attention. No one seemed to be in charge. May simply be understaffed for such a busy place.

We stayed at the hotel to celebrate our anniversary and were initially delighted to be told that our room had been upgraded, which we thought was such a lovely gesture. However, when we got to our room, we realised it was situated right at the front of the hotel, overlooking a very busy road. Unfortunately, the traffic noise was extremely loud and disruptive throughout the night, meaning we didn’t get a particularly good night’s sleep. In hindsight, we would have much preferred a quieter room on the other side of the hotel, even if it meant not having an upgrade. On a positive note, the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming and accommodating throughout our stay. The location was also fantastic, particularly for visiting the theatres, which were only a 10-minute walk away. Overall, there were some lovely aspects to our stay, but the noise was disappointing, especially as we were celebrating a special occasion.
