"May be one of the best places I’ve stayed at. I was able to relax, and feel at peace. The cottage was comfortable, clean and had a well set up kitchen, three lanai and lovely decor. The beauty of the surroundings was wonderful; trees, plants, ocean, and our own good luck gecko:). The owners were kind and respectful of our time there. Putting my phone away for a bit, other than taking photos also increased my joy. Thank you David and ClayWe hope to be back again soon!"
"We stayed here for almost two weeks. Kelly was amazing. She was always whipping up different types of breakfasts. She was so cute and so talkative.
Her food was really good. (If you are like me however, ask for pancakes or french toast or crepes) she loves to cook Mexican style breakfast but it didn’t always sit right with me. Then I told her about and she said, “well you should have told me earlier!” We both laughed. And it was excellent there after.
Her place is very cozy and calm.
I loved how clean everything was and I love that she had the filtered water. I filled my water bottle with it everyday. She had lots of treats and ice creams for us. All included of course!
She was so sweet, I hope to someday go back and bring my adult children. :)

"We absolutely loved the Whale House! The location is absolutely beautiful and the area was very quiet. The unit had basic kitchen supplies but they were very limited. The in bedroom air was great and the bed was very comfortable. The beach across the street was definitely one of our favorite spots to go and relax. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit and recommend it to anyone going to the Big Island. "
"Place was amazing, it was quite, except for the frogs at night, but they didn't bother me at all. There is no AC , but with the fans on and windows open it was fine. Love the lanai, I was able to just sit out there for breakfasts and dinner and enjoy the ocean view, the breeze, and the chickens. The only thing is I wish there were more hooks in the bathroom and a night stand in the bedroom with the twin beds. I had no where to put my things and I usually have a cup of water near me at night. The bedrooms were big with enough closet space. The place is only close to an hour drive to the National Park and close to half hour drive to Hilo. So it wasn't far to do the things I wanted."
