"What’s a wonderful place. Richard is so welcoming, the mansion is huge and beautiful and full of character, and he even put together snack breakfast for me to take with me because I could not stay for the actual breakfast. Winona itself is lovely and I was able to take a couple of sunset walks on the water after I arrived quite late. I can’t recommend this place enough."

It could use instructions for the how to operate the sofa bed and how to turn on lights over the lofts so that you have the option of not using the death stairs, or if you do, you can see them when using before bed. "We really enjoyed the stay. Darling place that’s close to Winona and cute places in Fountain City. We did wine tasting in town, went to the oldest continuously operating Pub in Wisconsin, sat on the patio and listened to live music with a drink overlooking the river. Went biking and hiking and explored the area. We loved being able to have our two dogs with us!!"

"This house was great! We were down to visit my son at Winona State University for the weekend. Fountain City was the perfect cute little river town and it was a short drive away. The house was cozy, clean, quiet, and well stocked. Beds were very comfortable and the host is very accomodating and always seeking to improve, which shows great character.
