Cabin on the Mississippi River

Enjoy all the benefits of the Mississippi River while staying at this all-season cabin located directly on the Mississippi River in Trempealeau, WI. The cabin features a private dock for direct river access (usually May-October depending on the water level), a firepit for campfires and a large screen porch along the river side allowing endless hours of serenity and views. Experience the natural beauty, entertainment and recreational areas of Trempealeau Wisconsin. Walking distance to downtown Trempealeau, 3 miles to Perrot State park and a 1/2 mile to access the public boat landing, Trempealeau Lakes and the Great River State Bike Trail. Whether you're planning a family vacation, fishing/ice fishing, boating or bicycling trip or just want to get out of town to relax, look no further, as this cabin meets all of your needs.

The cabin has 1 bedroom with a queen bed and queen futon to comfortably sleep 4 people. The living room has a queen sofa sleeper and the front screen porch has a full size futon (great for sleeping during warmer temperatures). The kitchen is fully stocked with pots/pans, coffee maker/filters, toaster, microwave, plates, glasses, silverware and basic spices. We provide bed linens, bath and kitchen towels and toilet paper.

The dock is available to you during your stay usually May-October. The timing depends on the river water level. There are also public boat landings within 1/2 mile available to get on the water/ice.

Tori is a great host. This little cabin right on the river has lots of personality and is very cozy on a chilly fall day. Loved the river traffic, barges, fisherman, the lock and dam, trains going by. Good restaurants, nearby orchards and wineries. A great little spot to get just away.

Beautiful cabin

Cute cabin on the river, perfect for our family. The porch is amazing and a great place to relax. Easy drive to Winona as well. Overall, a great stay!

Nice cozy cabin

Cabin was clean and as described. It was cold, so we didn't get to enjoy the porch and outdoors. The pellet stove was fun. Check in and out was easy.

Great getaway!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay immensely! Great view of the Mississippi River…quiet neighborhood…beautiful fully equipped cabin. What else could you ask for? Except maybe for our stay to not go so fast!

Great view, convenient spot right on the river

Stayed here to go fishing on the river for a few days, it was nice being able to walk down to our boat and not have to launch it every day. The Bar right next door also said we could tie our boat onto their dock if we wanted. Only downsides are the bar restaurantcan be loud at night since its so close to it, also the train going by accross the river wakes you up every hour with its loud horn but thats pretty much everywhere in trempealeau id guess,

We enjoyed our stay at this get away on the river. It was very relaxing. The cabin has everything you would need. The screened in porch was fantastic. Loved watching the birds and the barges going up and down the river. Looking forward to our next visit.

We enjoyed the great view, bird watching and all of the small touches. Charcoal and supplies for the grill, cute flowers and condiments in the refrigerator were appreciated.

Relaxing Respite

I booked the place for a couple of days to rest & relax & read. This was the perfect place for that. It was peaceful sitting in the screened in porch or outside by the fire pit. The bed was comfy and the pellet stove kept the place warm and cozy. The place was clean and comfortable. I really enjoyed my stay.

20th annual Father son fishing trip

Wonderful little place. Clean and very well maintained. Met the owners. Great people. Even I noticed it was decorated nicely. The space was well utilized with good quality furnishings. 👍 Boat docking situation was perfect.

Beautiful views

Our stay was very relaxing! We love this area. The cabin was very comfy and nicely decorated. Our communication with the owner was effortless and we had questions answered within minutes. The only possible negatives are the number of steps to get to the bedroom (which was a room with a very comfortable bed and gorgeous riverview) and getting onto the dock. Depending on your mobility, this could be a problem. We definitely want to stay here again!

River cabin in Trempealeau

This is an amazing place located just south of L&D 6. I went there for some quiet "me time" and I found it. I was immersed in nature and spent the time hiking and pampering myself. Tori is a great host and provided everything I could think of for my stay. This would be an ideal place to stay during any season of the year and I'm hoping to go back when when the flowers are blooming.

An unforgettable stay in Trempealeau

We enjoyed our stay and made precious memories during our stay in the Mississippi river cottage in Trempealeau. The communication with our host, Tori, was excellent, and she had thought of all the details to make the cottage an inviting and pleasant place to stay and escape the noise of the big city. It was very clean, had a wonderful view of the Mississippi and we enjoyed the peace and quiet of the countryside , relaxing in the Adirondack chairs on the lawn. We liked the screen porch and the Jacuzzi bathroom skylight but above all- the gorgeous view of the river and the peacefulness of the place. We will definitely revisit this cozy, great escape in a year!

Relaxing, comfortable, beautiful

This cabin is full of those little details that really show how much thought and care has been put into making this a relaxing and comfortable place to stay — everything from the way all the light switches are labeled to the spices and other essentials in the pantry to the TV tray for when you want to do dinner and a movie, this place is clearly maintained by someone who knows how to make a stay enjoyable. Location's nice — fairly close to the Great River State Trail, far enough away that it feels like a getaway but not so much of a drive to either La Crosse or Winona if you do need city amenities. It's a bit of a drive to the nearest full grocery store, but there are some nice produce stands not far from Trempealeau. The only downside, you might want to bring some earplugs or get a white noise app on your phone if you're a light sleeper, there is a fair amount of nearby rail traffic and activity on the river can pick up pretty early in the morning. The cabin itself is pretty great. There is so much airflow in this place that I barely needed to touch the A/C, even on the hotter days near the end of my trip. The screened porch — screened in on the bottom, as well, which keeps it mostly bug-free — is in the perfect spot to watch sunsets over the river, and the pictures in the listing undersell just how spacious it is. The kitchen, as I've mentioned, is well equipped. And the jacuzzi tub upstairs was a nice treat, too. Would definitely come back to this place!
