"I booked this apartment because the description said it was within walking distance of Sandwich town centre, and the map that was displayed prior to booking indicated it was located off Moat Sole in Sandwich town centre. It was only after I had gone through the booking process for what was a seriously expensive booking, a new address was provided for the property approx 1.6 miles away in Woodnesborough! I have restricted mobility and needed to be closer to the town so I asked if I could cancel....
"I had booked and paid through Hotels.com. But that was not accepted at check-in, and I had to pay once more. I have reached out to both the hotel and hotels.com, but neither will refund the double payment"
"The property was not the standard I expect of Expedia. The heating was on a schedule such that at night the temperature in the house was around 6 degrees giving me a backache until I asked the owner to keep the temperature at a constant 23 degrees. "We had a great stay in this beautiful, old property which had a lot of character. Ideally situated for restaurants, walks and the river. The house had everything we needed for a comfortable weekend away and we enjoyed many walks around Sandwich. Nice to have a bath as well as a shower! "
