Maybe that everyone except the staff were 10-20 years older than us, maybe the decor needed updating, maybe the random fridge sitting right in the middle of the bedroom floor, maybe the fact that our 2 special occasions weren't acknowledged in any way... Staff were all wonderful without exception - proactive, friendly and helpful. Gardens were lovely and the outdoor pool is heated! Spa was great and food was good. Not sure I would return to this specific hotel in Jersey"
