"We had the most incredible mini break here straight after our wedding, and it was just perfect. We splashed out a bit and were expecting something lovely, but it completly blew our socks off! Driving up a perfectly manicured driveway, to be greeted by a lighthouse ruin, three gorgeous gardens and the cliff falling away to the sea was heaven, the best place to bunker down and recharge. The gardens were huge, and we really enjoyed our evening loops with the dog without even leaving the property. When you do venture out, there's miles of walking straight from the door (although it's mainly on lead for the dog this time of year, so bring a long line) and Deal is a short drive away for a nice mooch and lunch. Would absolutely recommend."

"We had a wonderful time at Oldestairs. The house is beautiful and full of character and Keepers Cottages made everything extremely easy for us. The beds are really comfy and while it’s an old house everything works well. The location is fantastic, moments from the beach and there is masses to do in the surrounding area."

"Bowden Lodge is a great property for a group booking. It was rather tricky to find with the instructions provided, it might be a good idea to provide additionally what3words location finder. The beds were comfortable and the living space is exceptional. The aga was not on / working but there is a second kitchen that you can cook in, it's just less social cooking. The property could also benefit from more shoe space / coat rails. A boot room would be ideal. Was great to have a games room and the kids could be desperate from the adults. We enjoyed games time all together though,a lot of fun. Finally the 2 of the showers had errors on the electric shower function. Instructions on how to use and fix the showers would be beneficial. Overall a super lovely stay and we worked around any faults mentioned above. It didn't prevent us having fun!"

"We stayed with our grown daughters and their partners, booked the sunshine too. Gardens front and back to catch the sun or sea breeze or shelter as you wished. Every bedroom is large and comfortable. Big kitchen and we cooked a lot. Coffee machine was popular. TV struggled with all the family on WiFi. Great spot for walking over the cliffs with chalk meadows full of late summer wild flowers to St Margaret’s bay; lunched at The Coast Guard and the Pines. Walked to Walmer Castle via coast path and into Deal, evening drinks at Zetland Arms watching the sun go down. Beach is stony bring shoes to go in water. Beautiful house, lots of space, really comfortable, can park the car and get about on foot."

"This is a great flat and really good value. Good sized rooms, all comfortably furnished and well equipped (though a teapot would be appreciated). Warm and cosy, despite no instructions for working the heating. Local area is interesting with Dover, Walmer and the White Cliffs nearby. Easy parking in free car park next to church opposite. Highly recommend local pub The Smugglers as well as The Pines tearoom and Coastguard pub down at St Margaret’s Bay."

"Comfortable, relaxing, fun to be on the site for children. Close to Dover white cliffs, Dover Castle, and walking trails.Would do this again for a few days more!!!"
