"I was unable to enter this property even though I followed instructions stated that they will contact me with check in details on the day. I waited outside for over an hour. Leaving numerous messages with no luck. I contacted virtual assistant on hotels.com who also was unable to get any response from the hosts. "Fantastic stay with family celebrating mum's 80th birthday. We were even given a free drink each to celebrate. The reception staff were fabulous. So friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The bar staff were lovely. The rooms had everything you needed - handwash, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner & body lotion, fridge, iron, ironing board & hair dryer. The beds were so comfortable. I had the best night's sleep I'd had in ages. And best of all, we had air conditioning which probably also helped with a good night's sleep. It's got a Tesco Express opposite to stock up on all your little treats for the room. The only down side is it's a little bit out of the way with no tube station close by so you need to order taxis / Ubers to get anywhere and we spent a fortune on them. It's also in a smart, quiet area. I would definitely and highly recommend this hotel"

"The hotel is beautifully maintained and the staff were really friendly and helpful. The only downside was that I asked to arrange a cab which they called for me with the cab company quoting a fixed price of £25 which I thought at the time was expensive but assumed this to be the going rate even though it was only about a 10min journey,. However on the return journey a black cab charged me £14 for the same journey - I queried this with the staff member who called the cab but was informed this was because it was a fixed price journey. The fixed price was quoted at £25 for cash or £26 for credit card and I pointed out that under UK consumer law its no longer legal to have a higher price for a credit card transaction. The hotel staff member appeared not to be aware of this, no apparently did the cab company. My advice is only get the hotel to book a black cab."
