We’ll appointed, clean, and comfortable apartment, walkable to town and train to London. Unfortunately no hot water evening before, and morning of our departure. Stayed with on previous occasion and no issues. We would stay again.

Wonderful Place to Stay - But Be Prepared

Alban House is a great place to stay. We spent 13 nights here and were very happy with our stay. Alban House is located about a 5 minute walk to restaurants & shopping. It is about a15-20 minute walk to the train station, & there is a bus stop right in front of the building. There is also a parking spot reserved for the apartment you stay in. Very convenient. When I entered our one-bedroom the suite I discovered a complimentary bottle of wine with a note saying that the dishwasher was broken & hoped that this was compensation (the dishwasher was later replaced during our stay) for the inconvenience. The apartment is modern. The kitchen included an old microwave, but a nice induction stove, an oven and a large fridge. There was also a combo washer/dryer which was appreciated. The kitchen is stocked with a good supply of dishes, cutlery, pots & pans, etc. The apartment was clean, neat & orderly. Communication with the owner was very good. You do however need to be prepared for: 1. There are no toiletries provided - you need to bring your own shampoo, soap, etc. 2. There were only 2 rolls of toilet paper & if you need more than that for your stay, you need to purchase them yourselves. 3. No coffee or tea or bottled water is provided. 4. The 2 televisions are small & don't work well. 5. There is housekeeping once a week. 6. Washpods for the dishwasher & washing machine were very limited. Despite the things I have mentioned we would gladly stay here again.

Lovely room great location

Great clean room with everything you need. Easy walking distance of the city centre with plenty to do near by but really peaceful atmosphere in the apartment. Only downside was the hot water in the shower running out. Other than that perfect stay.

Super charming renovated old house in the heart of St. Albans. It's more of a serviced apartment than a hotel, perfect for longer stays. Parking right at the property is very convenient and free. You can walk to the train station in less than 15 minutes and be in the heart of London in less than half an hour. Lot's of stores, restaurants and pubs withing a five minute walk to the lovely center of St. Albans. The apartments are fully equipped, quiet, with comfortable beds and a washer/dryer integrated in the full kitchenette. If you need a place to work with fast internet during your stay, there's fantastic co-working space called bubbleHub, just a five minute walk from Alban House. All the stuff I met during my stay was super friendly and welcoming, they really make you feel at home. Will definitely stay there again.

Perfect stay for a home away from home. Staff were very helpful and accommodating and the apartment was clean and comfortable. Short walk to the train station made it ideal for work. Would highly recommend
