Very nice converted country house. No lifts. Staff very amenable. Good breakfast and simple good food in restaurant. Room was clean and well appointed, could do with a fridge, shower was excellent. Hotel can get noisy at weekends if and when they have weddings and parties.

Beautiful historic mansion. We walked thru nearby parks to the riverfront for lunch. The outdoor restaurant at Orange Grove was very pleasant for an evening dinner and happy hour. The admiral lounge is very comfortable while waiting for pickup to go to the airport or cruise ships.

Dog friendly room was clean but very basic and tired/worn looking even for a dog friendly room. Missing the basics like a mirror in the bedroom & maybe a coat hook by the front door. However the hotel itself was fantastic, set within beautiful grounds. The staff throughout were excellent & very welcoming from check-in to the bar staff to the restaurant staff. The food in the restaurant was incredible & reasonably priced too. We would definitely return.
