I intened to leave a great review of this property as intial interactions w/staff were great, the bed was wonderfully comfortable & the room, though small, was cozy, clean & inviting. Unfortunately, i left an item behind and did not feel the issue was treated with any care and it was "never found".
I woke up Fri with my pillow, went kayaking & returned with only 20 min to pack the car to vacate. At lunch realized i didn't recall putting it in the car, checked the car to no avail, and returned (less than 2 hrs later) & was told it wasn't found (no one physically checked, just quick responses from front desk and housekeeping). It's a queen size Ortho Contour Cervical Mem Foam Pillow w/ a pink & white Slip silk pillow case, so not easily mixed up with their white linens.
I acknowledge my part leaving it behind except I returned in under 2 hrs. Was given conflicting info on whether the room had even been cleaned & was refused the ability to check the room, despite no new visitors having checked in to it. I had no other option but to leave, so I sent an email that day asking if it had been found- it went ignored for 4 days. I sent a follow-up message stating i was planning to leave a review since I hadn't heard back (was giving them an opportunity to remedy things before i did so) within hours received a response, stating it was never found. After this, I can't help but wonder what could have happened had we stayed longer and allowed housekeeping in w/all our belongings present?
