Welcome to A Cabin in the Pines! We designed our home with the thought of family, friends, and your furry family members in mind. The home is a beautiful luxury 3 bed/ 2 bath custom mountain home, pet friendly, with a jacuzzi!
The home sits on a 1/4 acre lot and offers comfortable & durable luxury accommodations throughout. It was recently fully remodeled and has top-of-the-line everything! The backyard is fully fenced in with over 3,000 sqft of lush grass, a large deck, and a large paver patio.
The neighborhood is nice, quiet, peaceful, and extremely kid-friendly. There might be a total of 5 cars a day that drive by the home, which are mostly, if not all neighbors.
The entrance to the Washoe Meadows State Park is 3 houses away, offering a nice family-friendly hiking area, the Truckee River, and easy biking trails.
Also, a short distance away is the Tahoe Mountain Trail, which is great for hiking and intermediate mountain bikers. There are also a TON of other biking and hiking trails all around the home. The neighborhood is perfectly far enough from the hustle-bustle of town to not hear anything other than nature, but close enough to be to the casinos, restaurants, and heavenly village within 15 short minutes! There are also a few great restaurants that are within 5 minutes of the home as well.
The home and neighborhood gets a ton of sunlight and it has State-owned land and National Park land throughout! This allows you to get that mountain escape that you are looking for, while also offering the closeness of restaurants and other entertainment.
You will have plenty of room to park your cars but they cannot be parked on the street. Especially during the winter because of the Snow Plow. There is also room to park your Boat or RV if you have one!

The casinos, tons of restaurants and shops, and Lake Tahoe are all within 15 minutes and a local brewery is just 5 minutes down the road! * Both the City of South Lake Tahoe & The County of El Dorado have become extremely strict in the enforcement of posted rules which can be found in the rental agreement. Be sure to become familiar with said rules to avoid steep fines and visits from the authorities
* This home sits in a quiet neighborhood and therefore extra consideration should be made to keep the noise down.
* This home will be stocked with a starter set of consumables such as soaps and paper products. Guests are advised to either bring or purchase additional after arrival.
* We have a strict no-party policy, the registered guest will need to be 26+, excessive use of the property/ extra cleaning required/ failure to follow checkout procedures/ breach of the rental agreement will result in steep additional charges.
* Guests will have access to park 1 car in the garage and 2 in the driveway but no street parking is allowed
* Maximum occupancy of 8 adults, up to 2 kids under 5 years old. Pets are allowed, but there are no aggressive dog breeds allowed, and a maximum of 2 dogs on the property at any one time.

You will have access to the whole home, the whole secured garage to park and store your toys (at your own risk), and the whole yard, which is our favorite part of the home in the summertime!

* If you are unable to check out by 10am sharp, you will be charged a $50 late check out fee. This creates a lot of extra stress on our team because we have to turn the property over and have it ready for our next guests, which is typically the same day and just a few short hours after your check out time of 10am.
* Renters must be 26 or older
* Cleaning Fees include in price many extras: jacuzzi service prior to arrival (some homes only), starter kit of basic supplies such as basic towels for the maximum number of guests, shampoo, soap, dishwasher detergent, toilet paper, paper towels, etc. Beach towels are not provided, and laundry detergent is not provided. If the home you are renting has a jacuzzi or a pool, it is recommended that you and your guests bring beach towels.
*If there are any issues with the home not being cleaned properly, you have 12 hours to report them and they must be reported to us directly. We will do our best to get over to the property ASAP to remedy any and all situations to ensure you have the best possible stay at our property.
* If there is excessive cleaning that needs to be done to the hot tub after your stay you will be charged a $250 excessive hot tub cleaning fee.
* Do not park in front of or on the neighbors property at any time. Do not block driveways. The lot next door to our property is private property, do not trespass on it or park in front of it at any time.
*Pets - Dogs are allowed, however, there is a maximum of two dogs allowed. There are no aggressive dog breeds allowed on the property. We love all dogs just like you, however, the insurance liability and risks are too high. Also, if you are caught with dogs on the property without paying the fee, you will be charged an additional $500 on top of the pet fee. If there is any dog poop left on the property you will be charged an additional $250 cleaning fee.
*Emotional support animals must be disclosed at the time of booking. If you do not disclose you are bringing an emotional support animal you agree that you will pay the $150 pet fee. You also herby agree that you will pay a $500 penalty for the non-disclosure in addition to the $150 pet fee,
* No smoking in any of our properties, ($500) five hundred dollar fee will be charged if you are caught smoking on property.
Note: Our home has a recording video/audio surveillance camera in the following areas: Viewing outside driveway, viewing outside the front door, viewing inside of the garage.
Please understand that South Lake Tahoe is building a reputation as among the strictest towns in the nation in regards to Vacation Home Rental Ordinance Enforcement. Please understand that our management has nothing to do with the creation and/or enforcement of laws by City and County Police and Sheriffs. We are here to help provide guidance to all our guests.
The following are heavily enforced rules by the City of South Lake Tahoe and El Dorado County. By booking a home, the guest agrees to abide by:
1. Strict limitations on # of guests: Do not exceed the maximum # of people and cars allowed on the property at any time. Absolutely no street parking in front of the home in dirt area/nonpaved area is allowed due to Vacation Home Rental Permit Compliance. Each violation is subject to a mandatory citation of one thousand dollars to the guest, and one thousand dollars to the property owner. If a guest receives a citation by City or County, they agree to pay one thousand dollars per citation to the property owner in addition to the citations.
2. Understand and respect our highly noise-sensitive community. No loud parties/special events or loud noise outside anytime. No noise of any kind allowed outside during city-mandated quiet hours of 10pm-8am. Please enjoy the home by remaining inside or in a public place that allows noise during quiet hours. Also, the occupancy of the home is limited to only registered guests (Not exceeding 8, excluding children 5 and under) between the hours of 10pm-8am.
3. No visible trash may be left outside due to wild animals. All trash should be deposited inside our approved bear-resistant trash bin.
4. No use of jacuzzi between 10pm-8am. The City or County is very strict and will write a citation up to one thousand dollars, and you will be responsible to pay the property owner an additional one thousand dollars.
By agreeing to this electronic document, the signer acknowledges he/she is 18 or older and is legally responsible for compliance of all occupants of the VHR with all applicable laws, house rules, and regulations pertaining to the use and occupancy of the VHR, and that should any violation of this ordinance occur, that fines may be imposed in accordance with sections 5.56.150 and 5.56.200. No campfires or outdoor fires are allowed without a campfire permit.
