Property was nothing like the website. Is was extremely old and poorly maintained. Right next to a major highway and service station. No curtains on the window over the door with lights shining in all night. Old fashioned air conditioning that was noisy and failed to do the job

Unfortunately I only stayed overnight. Arrived at 5:00pm and departed 10:00am the following day. Room was clean, hot water, milk for tea and coffee and a comfortable bed!

Disgusting
Went to book the hotel and hotel website said it crashed and an error occurred tried to rebook and advised no suitable accommodation available so stayed elsewhere. Then when I checked my booking it turned out I double booked. Rang the establishment straight away to cancel and the rude owner said the cancellation fee was the full amount. The owner was so rude I would suggest stay here at your own risk. I will be telling everyone I know never ever stay here. Shocking service, bad owners, poor form.

Hi Christopher You have booked your room on Hotel.com a and then you rang to hotel staff for cancel .according to our policy no cancelation on same day. Staff was not rude She told you about the motel policy .You Have told staff you made mistake while you booking room on HOTEL.COM. It meant to book room in Goulburn. So It is our advise for you while booking on any website online please check which town you are going to book.. .Thank you

For what we needed - a convenient, clean and comfortable overnight stay on our way to Sydney from Melbourne - our family room at Bushmans Retreat Motor Inn ticked all our boxes. Yes the place might be on the older side but it was clear the owners are still looking after it, our room probably one of the cleanest spaces we have stayed in in Australia.

I could not fault the service and cleanliness of this motel - everything worked that I needed, including hot water and pressure in the shower. However, the bathroom very dated, floortiles in the shower badly worn.

Cutlery dirty, dusty and didn’t use the shower. beds old and when you’re lying down you’re rolling off. Charges like a 4 star but this hotel is a 2 star right beside a truck stop, can’t get a good night sleep.

Very run down motel , rooms not serviced in the 3 nights we were there we had to ask for fresh towels , AC/heater was so noisy we couldnt use it . No laundry the only good thing was a hot strong shower

It’s was 80’s style and the kids loved the close proximity of the beds to the TV. Close to the highway for a great getaway. Perfect overnight stop over.

Very grateful for a pet friendly room with fridge microwave toaster and kettle. It was clean and the managers are clearly very lovely people. It is easy to find.

The Bushmans Retreat is exactly that, a place to grab a kip after a day on the road. This accomodation was not for me, too outdated with mismatched decor and amenities from the 1960s to the 1990s. The heating was not warm enough and the water pressure from the shower could be improved.

The cleaning needs to be looked into I think, there was a bad smell coming from the bathroom which was most likely the drains, a mark on the coverlet which made me wonder if it had been washed between guests & when I picked up the visitor information folder, it was covered in something sticky. I was also put in a different room to the one I paid for which was probably of lesser value. If I hadn't just driven for 10hrs, I probably would have left and stayed at another property.

Overall comfortable for a budget motel. Comfortable bed with electric blanket. A couple of things that could be improved: bathroom light was very slow to come on, and the old air conditioner/heating unit was noisy, so not able to have on during cold night.
