Anniversary getaway
Me and my husband stayed here to explore Colorado for our 1 year wedding anniversary. South Fork is an adorable town and is beautifully and conveniently located. The Goat Cabin was roomy and comfortable for us and our 30lb dog. It was also very well stocked. The property is very quiet, we saw mule deer right outside the cabin every evening. We spent most of our time exploring the surrounding areas. Dollar General is also walking distance.

Enjoyed our stay.
The cabin was clean when we arrived, hot tub was used by my children and was clean and toasty! Spacious cabin worked out great for our family of 6. Thankful there was a crockpot for use because I forgot mine😃 We did have some trouble with the Wi-Fi when we arrived but we called management and someone came out the next morning, as we arrived very late, the problem wasn’t quite fixed so another call got someone out immediately and resolved our issue so we could watch tv. There was a DVD player so bring some along just in case😊 Location is great with conveniences if you aren’t wanting to be out away from it all. The malt shoppe in town has some great malts!! We will use this cabin again when we come back!

As expected for a mountain town getaway
Nice and roomy. Place is 50:50, space and general atmosphere great… kitchen and bathrooms need some TLC, but we were there to ride ATVs, we were not wanting to drag our campers this time and the lodge was perfect as far as location and having most amenities, and frankly for the price it met the need. I would stay again, knowing I needed to maybe pack a few more things.

No Wi-Fi; Clean?
When we arrived we found a pile of poo in the master potty and some of the silverware was dirty. This made me hesitant to stay. VACASA offered to have house keeping return and clean again, but I declined. The rest of the condo was spotless! I washed all the dishes I thought we would use in the dishwasher before we used them, just as a precaution. The evening we arrived we had great internet. The next morning we had nothing. After contacting VACASA they contacted local workers to fix the situation. The people who worked on it were great! They worked hard on it for several days but were unable to fix it. Apparently the antenna was damaged. So no wi-if for the rest of the week. The cabin is very spacious but out-dated as the pictures indicate. It does have a very nice living area and mud room area.

No wifi or tv service
The day we arrived we did not have WiFi or TV service. I called and was told it would be fixed. They did not fix the wifi or tv service until the day before we left. We had the cabin booked for 5 nights. I I’ll never book here again.

Excellent stay for skiing at Wolf Creek!!
This is an excellent place to stay if you have a larger family/group. It’s close to Wolf Creek ski resort. Easy check in and out. The only things that could improve is the WiFi isn’t good so you can’t really watch anything on the tv and the hot tub isn’t very hot. So my kids and I were bummed that we couldn’t sit in the hot tub after a long day of skiing. The restaurants Mountain Pizza & Taproom is walking distance with yummy pizza/wings & Ramon’s Mexican was pretty good. There’s a Dollar General right down the road that has milk and simple groceries. Overall great place to stay!

Good place but COULD BE AWESOME
Very spacious and clean We loved the wood burning stove. There were 2 problems we had. Only 1 of the 4 burners worked on range and with some wiggling we got a 2nd burner to work and the oven is just possessed. Other than that it was PERFECT.

Not as described; but still enjoyable
First and foremost - we booked this 2 weeks prior to checking in and over a holiday (July 4th) weekend....so we knew we were getting what was left after all other houses were reserved - but the description and quality was not as advertised in the listing. It has 4 bedrooms; but actually has 2 full baths (one with a tub / shower and the other is a shower) which was nice for our family. The swimming pool and hot tub are community property and both out of service (first sign said COVID related, but after speaking with others - it hasn't worked or been accessible since 2017....so I wouldn't plan on using either during your stay here). This house looks to be an old mobile home that was partially refurbished to be a rentable 'cabin'. There is a note that it is not the leasing office any longer and we didn't have any issues with people coming up to the door the entire week we were there. Colorado is experiencing unusually high temperatures and the majority of all houses or businesses there do not have air conditioning; which we knew and were ok with. What was not ok at the house is that 50% of the windows were screwed shut and not able to be opened, the other half did not have screens or had a screen protector on window - not allowing any air to get into the house. It was around 85 in the house during the day and mid 70s at night. 3 of the 4 bedrooms did have a box fan provided in them. The inside of the house was as clean as it could be (other than just being old and falling apart); but the outside area and mud rooms (front and bad) were filthy. The yard all around house was not groomed or well kept at all and the mud rooms hadn't been swept or cleaned out in a long time - lots of bugs everywhere (dead and alive). This place has huge potential if they would finish the renovations, fix the windows and get a lawn service. Until then, proceed with caution and definitely do not pay more than what this is worth.

Nice place for the price
Overall, it’s a good place for the price. I’m going to list some pro’s and con’s. Pro’s: large cabin; comfortable/warm beds; easy access to highway; fenced backyard for dog (fence needs fixing in 1 corner though); entrance is mud room for shoes; large dining table Con’s: back bedroom windows do NOT close all the way and the bedroom gets COLD at night, back left burner on stove doesn’t work, needs a few more blankets, back door lock is VERY difficult to lock, floor vent in back bathroom hasn’t been cleaned in a long time and is full of hair and lint, oven is NOT a double oven (just a large single oven with 2 doors, the wooden counter is VERY sticky (it needs to be refinished); pool and hot tub were out of commission. I might stay here again if they get those windows fixed and the counter refinished plus the appliances updated.

you have no on site support and the supposed local handyman never showed. no paper towels napkins or Kleenex so that info would have been nice. since we were 4 men playing golf it was workable. also cabin is old office of the complex hard to realize where your staying. the name is not listed on outside of building. lots of people drop by.
