"Beautiful area, of course we're in Austria! Traffic through the Fernepass was atrocious, which is right near Obsteig. Construction was in process across the road from hotel and the trucks that traveled the road all night that our room overlooked were very loud. No A/C so leaving windows open was a must. The furnishings looked to be very fancy in the 1930's, part of it's charm. Everything was very clean, though feather pillows need a little more stuffing. Loved the balcony for every room. Also,...

Only disapointments: mostly obscured view of the mountains in house 6 and overly lit outside area with houses with a huge led-strips making the night look like we were in a stadium…Great service when the dishwasher malfumctioned (can a dishwasher ruin your holiday? "We loved out stay in the Alps and adored this spot for our group of 10 adults. We had plenty of space to spread out, the beds were comfortable, and the sauna was a huge bonus after our day of hiking. There are great trails nearby and good dining options a town away. Our host was great to help us get checked-in and settled and was super communicative throughout our stay. Would highly recommend this spot!"
"We stayed here for one night. It was fine for a one day stay. The furnishing and carpeting are somewhat worn but it was clean. We were not there long enough to use any appliances other than the refrigerator, which worked fine. The location itself is so-so. it is very close to the rodelbahn and some nice hikes but the views from the property itself are rather limited. The neighbors have big old rusted boiler (or something like that) in the front yard so not super attractive immediate surrounding. There were two issues we ran into. One was communication with the owner - I don't think this was the owner's fault as they tried to respond but this was not working through VRBOs APP very well. This may have been a VRBO issue. I did find the owners communications in my direct email eventually - but going through the VRBO APP did not work well for this property. The second surprise was the requirement to pay in cash - we scraped together every penny we had (and had to borrow from our kids) but did manage to just cover the entire cost. I would say if you just need a place to stay for a night (and you bring cash) - this is fine. For a longer stay it would not seem so attractive."
