Excellent Hotel, good service and well maintained.

Everything was perfect apart from two things the swimming pool which was closed for some reason for three out of the 4 days we stayed.

Wonderful hotel with excellent services. The staff are amazing as well as the location and amenities. It is really worth staying here. Parking is easy and lots to do in and around the site that include walks along the lake or spend some time in the spa and pool. Highly recommended.

Definitely get the panoramic room at the Seehaus. Waking up to that view is worth every dime. Fantastic staff. Food is delicious. Can't think of a better place on earth to spend Christmas!

Excellent location!! The room was very nice and incredibly clean. I opted for the dinner option which was a buffet. The food was wonderful. Breakfast was included and it was just as delicious. The staff were very polite and helpful. Will definitely stay here again

nice hotel in the beautiful Bavarian alps

The Riessersee Hotel was a great experience. I stayed in a nice room in the building looking out on the waterfall and down on Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Friendly staff, good breakfast and dinner. There is the hotel restaurant with a buffet and the Seehaus Restaurant, with very friendly service and good food. I highly recommend the Riessersee hotel for anyone wanting to experience a "mini" grand-hotel experience in the beautiful Bavarian alps. It will not be the last time I stay there.

Some amenities were not available- Finnish sauna was out of use due to construction/repair, and the restaurant is only open Wed-Sun. Paid $72 for "half pension" option for two people thinking it would be comparable to others in the area-- it was buffet and not worth the price. Also paid extra for "king" bed which was just two beds smushed together. Did not receive VIP room upgrade.

This was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in! It was even more beautiful in person. It's a nice hike down to the town with really nice views along the way. The room was cozy, clean and comfortable with a gorgeous view of the lake. It was so nice waking up in the morning and sitting on the balcony watching the sunrise. The food was delicious as well, with a very nice restaurant. We rented bikes from the hotel to bike around the area.

Made a mistake when booking, thought there would be a sofa bed in the suite, as there was last time i was here. Request was made to housekeeping and they where able to come up with a solution.

The location is nice but also very rdmoand with restaurants nit being open everyday its somewhat unpractical. You could also experience the end of the season; service took long and was not spot on. Rooms ste also very dated which makes the value for money a bit unbalanced.

Wow wow and wow! This place is amaaaazing!!!! From arriving in our hire car, we just knew this place and it's setting were going to be something special. A beautiful warm welcome from the girls on the front desk. Some complimentary delicious treats were offered to us on arrival! This hotel is very high on class and quality and the setting on the lakeside and amongst an amazing forest you can hike all around. The snowfall made it even more magical. The food was delicious. We ended up just eating at the hotel in the evenings because it was very reasonably priced and nice selection of menus. You can either eat in the main hotel or the seehaus where we had our wonderful room with theost breathtaking views of the mountains. Breakfast was also a highlight every morning. A fine and quality selection of cooked breakfast (bacon, scrambled eggs, fried eggs, hard boiled eggs) Porridge/Bircher/yogurts and all the cheese and meats. This place is amazing value and has a lovely older lady serving in the seehaus. she is a right character! Called me The Schnitzel man because I couldn't get enough of their elite level schnitzel hee. Would stay here again and most certainly will be back. :)

Eigentlich könnte man das Riessersee-Hotel als gut bezeichnen, am Ende zählt aber das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis und die Erwartungshaltung, die geschürt wird und nicht eingehalten werden kann. Das Hotel nimmt für sich selbst in Anspruch, ein 4-Sterne-Hotel zu sein und das schürt die o.a. Erwartungshaltung. Die Preise von deutlich mehr als 240€/Nacht unterstützen dieses noch. Positives am Hotel: - Lage - schöner Wellnesbereich/Pool - unser Zimmer war renoviert - Freundlichkeit des Personals im Restaurant Negatives: - es war durch den schwarzen Balkon (Wände/Brüstung/Dach) sehr dunkel im Zimmer - das Bad war klein und hatte „nur“ eine Badewanne. Das Duschen in der Wanne ist sehr gefährlich, weil die Badewanne keine Duschzone hat. Wenn man schon das Zimmer renoviert, frage ich mich, warum das Badezimmer ausgenommen wird?! - das Hotel ist recht hellhörig und wird bei entsprechender Belegung laut - es gibt hier sehr viele Nationalitäten unter den Gästen mit jeweils eigenen Gepflogenheiten - bitte genau hinschauen, Tiere sind erlaubt (teilweise mehrere Hunde, es war dafür aber sauber!) - es ist ein sehr großes Hotel und der Frühstücksraum reicht bei voller Belegung nicht aus - der Aufpreis für Halbpension ist ziemlich hoch (Getränke müssen extra bezahlt werden, z.B. 1 Glas Wein für 8€), und für diesen Preis ist die Qualität nicht adäquat! Das Abendessen wird in Buffetform angeboten, was eigentlich ok ist, aber dann passt der Preis, die Angebotsvielfalt und der unvermeidliche An
