"We loved this house! It's large, roomy, beautifully decorated, and well laid out with the main bedroom on the 1st floor. The beds are very comfortable, and the A/C works well for those hot days! The back area is so peaceful, whether you want to sit out on the deck, the porch, or the dock. The golf cart is really handy for getting into town to check out the restaurants and shops, and the owner made it easy to figure out where to go with great recommendations in the guest book. Based on what I saw, this is definitely one of the nicest rental spaces available in Hopkins, and the owner is very responsive to any questions about the property or the area. From Hopkins as a home base, we were able to go snorkeling, visit Bocawina for ziplining and hiking to a waterfall, visit the Altun Ha site, go cave tubing, go to the Belize Zoo...and had plans to do the Cockscomb waterfall hike but couldn't because of the rain. If you're looking to do any of these activities (and so many more!), they are accessible to you from this place. When you want down time or family time, the kitchen is well stocked for making your own meals, and there are a variety of card decks, games, and books to peruse. "The staff was amazing and the room and beach were beautiful, comfortable and well maintained. The only suggestions I would make: 1. Put a “reserved” sign on the beach chairs in front of the freestanding villas. People who were not using the resort sat in ours and took our cushions a few times. Once when we were on our way out, another couple sat in ours and the staff told us they would move us to other chairs which I thought was inappropriate considering we were guests paying for 11 days. 2. One of the cleaning ladies mopped one side of the bedroom, then the porch (which has mud and bird droppings) then came in and mopped the other side. Maybe others don’t care but this is not clean to me. She should have wet the mop again at minimum. Other than that I highly recommend this resort as it was in a great location and really relaxing and beautiful!"

"Had a great two night stay at The Lodge at Jaguar Reef. All of the staff members that we interacted with were helpful and accommodating......especially Julio at the front desk! Amazing room and property. Drinks and bartenders from the restaurant bar and the Big Dock bar were awesome. If we ever return to the area I can't imagine not staying here. "
