"If you are looking for a quiet B & B type experience, a little bit off the beaten path, then this could be a great option for you. Our room was on the second floor with a narrow wooden staircase which made it challenging to bring our multiple bags up to the room. We opted to pull a few necessities out of our main bag and just bring in a carry on, which worked fine. The rooms are lovely and comfortably furnished. The bed was comfortable. One of the "charms" of staying in a B&B type lodging is getting to meet your hosts. We went into town for dinner, so missed the complimentary wine and cheese offering. Other than that, all communication (check-in, questions and checkout) was entirely electronic and we did not see anyone throughout our one-night stay. That felt strange and impersonal to us, but perhaps our expectations were too high. I think we would have been happier in a more traditional hotel setting."

"The perfect destination for a quiet and relaxing getaway. Cozy inside, wonderful working kitchen, comfy beds, plenty of living space, all immaculate. Outside grounds were breathtaking! Lucious gardens and greenery. Like being in another world. Highly recommended!"

"My dream was to visit Vermont ! I chose Woodstock because it was described as quant and walkable. I found this house and was mesmerized by the views! It delivered in so many ways, the views are spectacular, the cottage is charming, the beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was fine. The back deck had great views and drank our coffee there in the morning and wine at night.Our hostess , Margarita may have been the best part! I really enjoyed her company, we shared a glass of wine together on her wall. Our dogs loved each other! I will remember this trip and Margarita for the rest of my life. I hope to return again soon.Lisa and Rich"

"Beautiful location and log home. As described, with everything we needed. (except towels, which was clearly noted in the listing, so we were prepared). Host was extremely responsive, as we lost power due to a tornado hitting near by, and he kept us up to date on restoration. The power loss was not a big deal, as the generator covered most of the house. Highly recommend!"

"Cannot say enough positives about this property. We came with three grandchildren and celebrated their mother‘s 42nd birthday and grandmother‘s 80th birthday. We all had an incredibly wonderful time here. There were lots of toys for the kids to play with. There were lots of places near the property for the kids to go hiking with their dad. We went into Woodstock spa. We also use the hot tub at the house which was wonderful. And we had a chef come to cook a meal for us. We will definitely be back."
