"The overall property was great. The only drawback with the listing was the bunk room pictures did not accurately portray that the bunk room is actually away from the main house in a portion of the converted garage. If you have little kids (we did) it is not ideal because they can be locked out of the main house. We made it work but it was disappointing. The other bedrooms and gathering rooms and porches are great. Lots of seating lots of utensils in the kitchen, the decor is delightful. The furniture inside and out is comfortable and plenty of it.The only drawback to the pool was the night time lights didn't work. We asked for a repair it did not happen. We still enjoyed the pool .One shower in the top floor bedroom area did not have hot water. We used the other shower no big deal, just thought you should know.Overall Above the Cut was a wonderful experience."

"The location is excellent! Very close and easy walk to either the beach or the bay. We loved checking the bay side for sunsets. The beach was beautiful and quiet each day. And there were lots of dolphins when we were there. Perfect for family days at the beach. The pool was nice after a long day at the beach to cool off and is nicely shaded. The house is perfect for an extended family or multiple family vacation. My only complaint was the mosquitoes! They love the parking area and right by the pool. The house is a well loved beach house. We enjoyed our time there and would definitely recommend and go again."

"This home was beautiful and has everything you need for a great vacation. The best part was the screened in porch off the living room. We sat out there with our dog and it was so nice and shady. We couldnt arrive on Saturday and the host was nice enough to offer us a Sunday thru Sunday stay. Great property!"

"Great location all the way in to the plantation. The dolphin show was constant - we suspect it was because this house is so close to the cut. The thermostat for the top floor is located in the bedroom one floor below (on the kitchen floor). The house is next to a beach access that gets constant use. If you set up right in front of the house expect people not to walk as far away as they should and set up closer than necessary because they’re lazy! Also lots of new construction just outside of schooner landing is adding 3 beach front houses and about 10 second row houses. The house itself is a little old and a little quirky but very comfortable and well appointed. They seem to have replaced the oven with smaller units so large sheet pans can only fit in vertically."
