Clean, comfortable beds and a good breakfast. We were on the side of the road and it was a little loud. Staff were attentive and friendly but they were understaffed. Would return.

Nice and easy to get too, really quiet as it’s in the middle of an industrial estate. Fire alarm was triggered at 11pm and 4am due to someone vaping in the toilets but the staff were really quick and resolving the issue. Lots of complimentary breakfast available. Toilet facilities in the room could do with a refresh as looking dates and had a damp smell to the shower cubicle even though is was dry.

Convenient, just off major routes. Clean, excellent shower, friendly and helpful staff. Sadly, if you want a good meal you need to go out as there are limited options for dining. Breakfast was OK... Ive had better but there I've had a lot worse. Overall, we will stay there again.

Pros: Excellent hot and cold breakfast selection. Big shout out to Bill for his efforts in this area! Easy to find just off the A5 Ample free parking Cons: This hotel is undergoing some much needed refurbishment in the reception area meaning there is a long trek to any bedrooms. There was no advance warning of this! Wouldn’t have booked if we’d been informed! Access to parts of the ground floor very limited. Bedrooms are tired and in need of upgrading. The door to our room looked as though someone had tried to jemmy it open. Great view of the bins from our room!

We needed to stay somewhere local to Shrewsbury School and this provided us with all we needed. Good accomodation, spacious room, lovely breakfast. Staff were all excellent. Can't fault it and would highly recommend.

Excellent location out of the town for getting around by car. Very friendly and helpful staff. There was noise from early morning from slamming hotel room doors and a large construction site opposite hotel. A few items were broken (window latch, shower head, sink plug).

Good hotel, good breakfast, good staff but good luck if you can find it! Standard Holiday Inn Express so expect what you pay for, which is good value. Nice quality food at breakfast with regular replenishment. Very difficult to get to from the main road. It sits on an industrial estate away from the town centre which is poorly lit at night with no hotel signage to guide you. The franchisee needs to get at least three signs up from the nearest main road and through the estate. Caused an irritation to an otherwise pleasant stay.

A wonderful surprise
Was a bit worried because it seemed cheap but needn’t have been. It was great! Large clean room and bathroom, huge comfy bed and lovely breakfast included. Would definitely return and I’m fussy.

Great stay
Everything was great except the bed the mattress was not very comfortable and pillows to small otherwise a great stay . The breakfast and evening meal were very tasty and plenty of food.

Value for money - though the shower was in need of a deep clean and it dripped through the night. The staff were all friendly & helpful. Breakfast was decent and appropriate for the price paid. Would definitely go there again 👍

Pros : Decent sized room and clean. Double bed comfortable. Breakfast was also satisfactory Cons : Lounge like an old people’s home. Very small and not cosy Bar : Rip off drinks. Stay away. 1 pint of lager and a double gin and tonic £17:50!! Daylight robbery

One night stay
Overnight stay after a day at the race's, needed somewhere reasonably priced and this fit the bill. Overall hotel was good, and suited our 1 night stay but wouldn't stay here for any longer, nothing around the area without having to pay for a taxi into town which if you wanted a decent drink you would have had to do as the selection of alcoholic drinks at hotel bar was very minimal. Breakfast was okay but not much choice, ideal if you can eat fried food but for someone who can't you are very limited in what you could have. Also during our stay there was no internet access for any guests, all anyone got told by staff was that it was down and could come back on anytime. I find it hard to believe that even up to us leaving the following morning there was still no Internet available. Should I find myself needing accommodation in the area in future I would look elsewhere before even thinking about booking this hotel.
