Great location
Lovely house let down by lack of maintenance. It is a great house, comfortable beds, good furniture but our stay was totally marred by problems with windows either not shutting (not funny when bedroom window doesn't shut in a raging NW gale and is not properly secured) or windows not opening. "Handtowels provided" were one each for kitchen, bathroom & shower room so no personal handtowels for hygienic purposes. No dishes or cover for microwave use except cereal bowls which got extremely hot. Little in the way of cooking dishes. Really a great great shame as it could be a lovely place to stay even when the weather is poor. Easy walk to beach and town.

A good location with good WiFi. A good base for the area and ideally located near to both the town and beach with almost immediate access to the north Norfolk coastal path.

Perfect location
Location of the property is fabulous. Within walking distance of the beach snd amenities of Sheringham. Great to have parking at the property and appreciated the 'welcome pack" contents. Single beds in 2nd bedroom would benefit from better matresses as they are quite thin; and the property could do with a bit of decoration/cleaning up (especially in shower room - a bit of black mould). Kitchen well equipped. Overall we all had a great time, thank you.

Bed were terrible. Beware the bunk beds are very difficult to get into. Property need a lot of re-work and modernisation. My back is still aching after only sleeping on beds for 3 nights. Will not recommend at all.

Friends stay.
The cottage was lovely well appointed. Cosy yet plenty of space. Host was responsive to our needs. We would definitely have booked again however the mattresses in twin room although probably fine for children were hard and uncomfortable. I found sleeping difficult. My friend in double room matress was fine. It was a real shame as we would have liked to come again and bring friends. Great for a family break.

Great location
We did have a really good time the location is excellent and we will probably book again. The only negative would be that both the front and back garden were overgrown and needed cutting back / mowing. Also the beds in the second bedroom had memory foam mattresses which made the bed hard and uncomfortable, there were only 2 of us sand we needed a room each so we put two mattresses on one bed which was much better. Apart from that a really nice property.

A perfect holiday home
The property is everything it says in the details and more. We were there for a long weekend with members of our family, and other family members were in another cottage which was less than five minutes away. It was also very well priced. We will definitely try to use it again.

Comfortable stay in good location
There were only 2 of us but we found the house comfortable and well equipped. The location was great and we only used our car once in 4 days. Easy access to the beach and coastal walk and to the centre of town. Good eateries nearby. Loved the conservatory. Other bedrooms a bit small for adults.

Crab cottage Sheringham
Amazing cottage fully equipped with everything you need. Spacious garden with stunning sea view. Great location few minutes walk to town centre and amenities. Beach just around the corner . Sheringham is a gem .We enjoyed very much our stay .The owner of the property kind and helpfull. We strongly recommend this cottage to anyone wants to visit Sheringham and North Norfolk Elisabetta T.

Fantastic holiday

well equipped property, home from home. beds were really comfy and sofa was good for me, being quite a bit shorter than my husband! He needed a cushion to support his head when watching a film. But that is all. garden is fully enclosed. there are 2 gates in the back garden that are about 3'6" high so be aware if your dogs would jump them.

Fab property in excellent location
Great, very well equipped home from home holiday home. Lovely views from the garden and back bedroom and parking was a real plus. Location is perfect for walking on the beach, in land paths around the bump and it's a very short stroll into the village for cafés, bars and shops.

Amazing location for our Easter break for our family of five plus doggie. The cottage was comfortable, clean and well equipped. A few minor faults with the property (fed back to the host) but not too much of an issue for the short stay and we were mostly out and about anyway! Will be back!

PROPERTY LOVELY VRBO APP A NIGHTMARE. HAVE BEENFLOODED BY DAILY VRBO EMAILS PERHAPS FROM YOUR APP
This is a beautifully designed house for comfort and practical living with easy access to the sea and shops and transport to other sites. It was a lovely place to stay for two 70plus women but we felt it would be a good place for a family. Lovely conservatory, three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Sadly I found the VRBO emails intrusive and unclear and much too plentiful for comfort.VRBO sent emails each day which were repetitive and unnecessary!!

Beautiful views, light bright and airy. I was staying there with my sister and her boyfriend and my husband. My mother lives in Sheringham and we decided to host a surprise party for her. Lots of open space for us all to sit, and the weather stayed sunny too so we can sit in the garden. A great location, central to the Beeston Bump and to all amenities in the high street.

Autumn break 2022
Absolutely brilliant place to stay. Local to everything and such a homely house. Walkable, within 5 minutes to the town, beach and local amenities. I’ve been visiting North Norfolk and Sheringham for Decades but never stayed in this part of the town. Loved it and have booked again for 2023.

The property and outside areas are in need of some TLC. The photo of the front of the property may have looked like this a few years ago but not today. Having no carpet on the stairs makes it very noisy and not homely, can’t understand why as no dogs are allowed upstairs so no hair. The bag in the vacuum cleaner was filled to the brim with no spare. Generally well equipped and comfortable, just needs attention to tired areas mainly upstairs. Great location and very peaceful, I would stay again.

Great location a few mins walk to the beach. House was good and fully equipped however the shower was just a trickle and even broke down when we were there. The owner did pop round to fix it. Bathroom a bit tired and a few cobwebs everywhere but overall a good place to stay.

Very clean property. Perfect location . 5 mins walk to Sheringham town.
We had a great stay at Crab cottage . My only one complaint is the electric shower is not very powerful at all and I do feel this should be looked at . But apart from this, I have no complaints. Very enjoyable stay.

Crab cottage was beautifully clean in great location, has all amenities you could need downstairs beautiful living dining area nice conservatory and kitchen great outside garden. However bedrooms double is perfect no problem, would not recommend others as for only children. We were 4 adults no carpet on landing means noise if go toilet in night. I would recommend to owner to remove bathroom from second bedroom which is cramped and put it in to Childs bedroom advertise as 2 bedroom, you could easily put a put you up bed in living room. Just my feelings but great for family with kids.

Charming cottage
Everything went very well. We arrived from Switzerland and Marc sent us all the information we needed. Great host. The cottage was lovely. Close to the station and shops and even closer to the beach. You can find everything you need in Sheringham. And there are lots of lovely walks. The people are all very nice and helpful. It was so peaceful. The only sound we heard were the birds! Amazing!

A lovely short break
The house is well positioned being a short walk from the town and sea, and a short drive to various places of interest around north Norfolk. The house itself is spacious with comfortable beds and seating, the kitchen has all you need if you want to cook during your stay. If i was being very critical i would say it could possibly do with a little bit of updating in some areas, but we were happy with it and had a great four days there.

My family were pleased with how well-equipped this property is. Toys, books, board games galore! Perfect proximity to seaside, cafes, restaurants and cliff walk. Only downside: no carpet strip on stairs or landing, which is noisy at night if anyone walks around. A hot tub would make a nice addition .

Cottage needed bit TLC, but as it is only used as a base, could not expect too much comfort. Did not like stairs with no carpet or bedroom floors, quite noisy, very basic.

Quite area. Good location for town , beach and amenities. And surrounding area. House was clean and roomy. With large garden which we were unable to use because weather wasn't good. Nice sea views and would of been a better view if the hedge was trimmed back a bit. Please be aware the small room has 2 rather enclosed bunk beds not really suitable for adults. Also it states hand towels provided. I thought it would be 1 hand towel per person NOT 2 hand towels between 6 people ! Slight niggles really .

The house is in a brilliant spot and we enjoyed our stay. However the beds in the second bedroom were very uncomfortable and my 14 year old had problems sleeping - mattresses were so hard and need to be replaced!
