"The house is beautiful, spacious, and nicely decorated, with a lot of potential as a rental. Unfortunately, the overall condition and guest experience did not match the quality of the property.The biggest concern was cleanliness. We found food and crumbs in kitchen drawers and cabinets, a dirty refrigerator/freezer, candy wrappers and significant dust under the bed, and worn pillows, towels, and washcloths that should be replaced. A missing stove knob was also simply left in a drawer.When we arrived, the plumbing and electricity were initially out for about 40 minutes, possibly due to a storm. If outages are common, they should be disclosed, and emergency flashlights or candles should be provided. There was also a ceiling leak into the master bedroom that appeared to need attention before our arrival.The most significant issue was the lack of gas to the stove and oven for our entire stay, leaving us unable to cook. We were told a plumber was coming, but no one arrived.Communication with the host was also disappointing. Calls were not returned, and communication was handled through the app despite the issues we were experiencing. More timely and direct communication would have been appreciated.Overall, the property is beautiful but needs more thorough cleaning, consistent maintenance, updated linens and towels, and better host communication. With these improvements, it could be an excellent rental."
