"사진과 다르게 매우 오래된 옛날건물 야외보다 로비에서 담배냄새 너무 심하게 났음 처음 방문을 여는데 약간 무서울 정도로 오래된 st임ㅋㅋ 방에 창이 있었는데 창 청소가 안되어 밖이 하나도 안보임ㅠㅠ 수건이 2장뿐이라 4장 달라고 카운터에 말했더니 약간 덩치있고 사나운 여자직원이 사람이 몇명인데 4장 달라고 하냐길래 우린 2명이고 4박5일이다 했더니 그래도 왜 4장이나 필요하냐면서 어디로 연락하는척 하더니 결국 안줌 ㅠㅠ 가장 힘들었던건 방이 난방이 잘 안됨 !!!!!!! 4일 내내 밤에 추워서 깼음 결국 둘다 감기걸려옴 ㅠㅠ 위치는 좋은편이나 재방문 의사는 글쎄.."

"This hotel has the best location because it is walking distance (10 - 15 min) to Bund and Yu Garden. Plus it is 5 minutes from Shanghai's awesome metro station. We stayed for 9 nights and being able to walk to Yu Garden at night for festive lights was great (and we had a wheelchair). The full hot breakfast was great and had something for everybody's appetite. The staff were very English friendly and helpful especially Peter Hu who helped us figure out metro and where to buy certain things. The cleaning staff were very meticulous about cleaning, mopping, sweeping. Be aware that if you take Didi that they let you off not exactly at the entrance because the lobby is at the corner of Renmin Road. Otherwise, only other things is that there are no clothes storage drawers, room to room phones, and business center. Kids loved the room service robot. Would stay again!"

"Above and beyond service from Steven Wang at the front desk I had a pleasant stay at M.O. during the dragon boat festival, and I want to specifically call out Steven Wang at the front desk. I ran into a frustrating issue trying to buy a WeChat e-gift card for a local friend. It turns out U.S. citizens can’t use WeChat Pay, so the purchase seemed impossible. Instead of just shrugging it off, Steven got creative and found a practical solution which allowed to present the e-gift card to my friend. Such a small thing, but it saved the day and showed real care and resourcefulness. It’s easy to find polite staff, but it’s rare to find someone who’ll actually problem-solve for you like that. Steven turned what could’ve been a disappointing dead end into a great moment of hospitality. If you’re staying here, hope you get to interact with him — he’s a credit to the hotel."

"Great location, only a few minutes walking distance to Line 2 subway station, 15-20 minutes to Nanjing East Road and the Bund. The room and the bathroom were spacious and mostly clean but there was noticeable dust on the floor lamp shade and the TV cabinet. Overall. A great experience."

"The room was very large, breakfast was a decent variety but be careful as despite allergens being displayed, they can be incorrectly labeled. The bathroom was very big in the room with a full size shower, bath and double sink. although the shower particularly around the drain area had quite a bit of mould. It would be nice if the breakfast area was more spread out as we sat quite close to other guests."
