"We chose to stay at this hotel based on its convenient location relative to our daily destination in the Barre, Vermont, area. Our stay at this hotel was a pleasant one. It has the advantage of the proprietor being in residence, and serving the guests personally to ensure their satisfaction with the accommodations. We will certainly stay here again on future visits to the area."

"The hotel was easy to get to and looked very upscale - from the walkway to the lobby, to a grand staircase. The room was very comfortable for an unexpected trip to St. Johnsbury. The room was also spotless. My husband appreciated the buffet breakfast and that certainly made our stay easier. The only downside was that the elevators were not functioning."

"This property has gorgeous views, the sound of running rivers, plenty of space for kids and pets to run around as well. The house were completely kind and generous and left a lot of amenities in the cabin. All that was needed was to buy groceries! There was even wood you could buy on property for the campfire! I highly recommend staying here and will definitely be coming back with my friends!"

"Nice older property. We stayed in one of the upstairs log cabin rooms (nice) and one of the older motel style rooms elsewhere on the property. I don't recommend the older motel style rooms - small and packed with furniture and the HVAC seemed to be oversized (in the summer the HVAC wasn't drying the room so it felt cool, but moist). The upstairs log cabin rooms I would recommend - however, not the rooms near the office (room 10, 11, 12). Why you ask? Well the stairs to climb are over the break chair and table for the lady who runs the office. To say she is a chain smoker is being kind to chain smokers... she is constantly in this chair and as you climb the stairs all you smell is her second hand smoke. Not a pleasant experience to enjoy your stay at the Nootka Lodge."

"The property is stocked with everything you can think of!! We were really impressed with that, and thankful! We brought our dog with us and she was also very comfortable there, loved laying on the deck watching the lake.Great place to stay."

"Owners of property are very helpful and welcoming. Beautiful home, beautiful rooms, remote location, beautiful view of surrounding mountains! Excellent breakfast home-cooked , under home maintenance projects while there, would recommend small coffee pot and fridge in room for convenience purposes."

"The room was appointed/decorated just beautifully and looked towards the lake which was a short walk away. The air conditioner worked very well and there was a smart TV. The only thing missing for us was a mini fridge, just bc we had purchased food earlier. But everything else was just perfect. The inn is just lovely and in superb condition. There is also a charming bar and restaurant. We had both dinner, and breakfast which was lovely and included with our stay. I had fresh blueberry pancakes and made to order eggs with fresh fruit, juice and coffee, and my husband had yogurt with fresh fruit and granola with maple syrup drizzled on top and also made to order eggs. The owners are incredibly nice, truly, not a cliche. We talked about some wonderful history and connections we both had. The other guests staying also were treated so kindly. I would recommend Green Trails Inn to anyone traveling thru Vermont and wanting a New England Bed and Breakfast but in an updated and renovated charming inn."
